I do the same. Then get made fun of by my PvP group because they all insta-port somewhere else and I'm stuck sneaking out of the front lines all the way across the map. Lost so many ticks like that.

I bought 45 of these current season's crates despite everything in them being garbage, with the sole intent of sharding everything for the Ice Nixad.

once when i was browsing the guild stores years ago, I accidentally bought 2 tomatoes for 10k. when they first brought in tomatoes and they were the must have thing so were mega expensive! when ever I loot a tomato now I still look at them in anger >.< 10k was a lot back then.

also once i was leading a raid in discord, got everyone ready and set to go... I was the only person to port to the wrong trial XD

I still cant remember the names of the two dragon bones dungeons. even knowing all the mechanics for both of them I just ant remember the names for the life of me, so when ever someone asks about it I always have to clarify if its the one with the big dragon bone boss or the dragon statues. makes me feel such a noob to ask.

another time in WGT we were going for a no death run. well something happened in the room IRL and my character just walked right off the edge of the walkway ( the one up the hill towards the planar boss)

last week farming blessed crucible I had about 4 runs in a row where i kept missing the first bridge to walk across before the first boss... I'm sure someone kept moving it >.<

there is probably a lot more but these are off the top of my head :)

I didn't know you could go from wayshrine to wayshrine for free. I always spent gold to get close to where I needed to go.

One day, probably a week or two into my first character, I ported to Bleakrock and had no money left for the return trip. I was so bummed. All the quests were finished and it was gonna take forever to get 29g or whatever by killing wolves.

That was the day I learned how to use a wayshrine to go somewhere.

I once ganked a lone red fishing in the IC - he was all alone and totally focused on the rod. I came up and ganked him from behind.

I still feel bad about it to this day! Apologies, red fisherman, if you still play! Blood was up and everything not a banana was a target - it was nothing personal! :)

In the beginning I didn't know how group finder works, and so was trying to solo simpler dungeons usually killing 2-3 bosses and was happy with gear i may get from those, this ended ~ at cp200 when i was called to my first guild.

Guildmate asked who wanna do dungeons, I (with excitement) proposed to run a simple one, he asked about role, i tell him that i am "universal" so I can heal and quite durable, he suggested i will be a tank (my char was warden barbarian with 2h on both bars and by healing i mean shrooms and lotus, and by durable i mean ice fortress). Some other guys join and we got to vet Wayrest with me as tank/healer.

All was fine at first, i rushed all dungeon in front clapping warden wings, cleaving and casting shrooms non-stop to keep myself alive, but last boss was one shooting me even through block, and dds were somehow unable to nuke her like they do with previous bosses. After a couple of wipes, i suggested that we may use a scroll to kill her (there was a message in right corner - optional: use scroll of something) - and after that they were laughing on me for long in German..

My raid partner and me once were in the mood of fake-pugging.

So my 3k full tank and his 7k full healer pugged for a random vet as DDs. We got grouped with a real tank and a real healer.

Khajiit sorcerer. Low level. I was playing with 2H and Light armor, I was doing the AD zone quests with my level ~20 hybrid build (I just leveled every skill line one after an other, so I was bound to use some strange combinations...). Someone whispers me and ask If I'm a tank (No group finder at the time, early 2015). I answer yes, after all, I use shields, brawler, and light armor give spell resistance so it's better than heavy armor against magickal opponents, right?

Group wipes. OMFG the tank doesn't have a taunt, kick.

One player was less pissed off than the 2 others and more enclined toward being nice, he proceeded to teach me the basics of tanking via whispers. The next skill line to level up on my list was 1h and shield

I'm still cringing over this one. I joined in mid-year Mayhem, but I rarely go to Cyrodiil, so like you do, I just joined a large group and galloped around with them, I was doing well, learning loads and then we had a few leave the group. There were people in zone chat lfg, but they weren't getting invited. 'This is odd' I thought, then a couple of people were posting in group chat to 'invite ppl' and so on. Also I wasn't sure where we were supposed to be going, I was following the crown, but it didn't seem to be going anywhere. Someone said 'shall we just start another group?' and I said 'Yeah' and then it slowly and horrifically dawned on me that I had somehow inherited the crown. I had been leader for at least 20 minutes and leading my team around and around in a circle whilst ignoring their increasingly desperate pleas for me to invite others to the group.

I apologised profusely of course, then panicked and gave the crown to a random group member who yelled 'I don't want it!' I burned with embarassment for days afterwards and when that particular character went back to Cyro she was heavily disguised

I got my Emperor achievement on a dead campaign by making underhanded deals with the Russians. :flushed:

This was way back in the launch year, long before ZOS ever stated working with rival factions in this way was against ToS (I wouldn't do it now that's confirmed).
Travelling some dead campaigns my guild found one was being used for emperor trading, I decided to do it so I wouldn't have to stress about it in the future and could just PvP for the fun of it rather than chasing achievements.
I will say though, it was a stressful few days dealing with some of the most patience testing players I've ever had to deal with, it probably would be been easier just to go on a week long campaign now and get it.

For the longest of times, I thought that I had to craft a new Glyph for my Staff each time it ran out.
Cost me a fortune in purple runes, when I had a tonne of soul gems right there in my inventory :D

I also spent the 1st few months of the game clicking on increasingly more expensive Wayshrines on the map, unaware that they were free to use if I just walked to one.
.....Needless to say I spent the majority of those first few months totally penniless and running on foot an awful lot!!
I like sharing this lil gem with some of my newer guildies when they admit to making a goof. When I first started playing(roughtly 4 years ago) I thought the little weapon charge indicator on my screen meant that I was a dps and was frustrated that I couldn't get it off my screen for a couple of weeks after seeing it...

When crafting - selecting the maximum level crafting material, but then forgetting to click 'plus' to make it 160 and not 150...then not noticing until I've improved it to legendary quality.

You'd think doing that once would be enough, but no...I've done that a few times. :'(

My accountant told me to invest my money in bonds. So I bought 100 copies of Goldfinger.

Unicorns and cannonballs, palaces and piers
Trumpets, towers and tenements, wide oceans full of tears.

When I was still playing the game (pls remember I was like 4 years younger back then), I'd been grinding mobs in a group with some other guy.

All of a sudden there was this massive spider on my desk. I did the only thing I could do in this situation - I ran away and hid inside my closet until the danger had passed.

When I got back I explained the incident to my group mate. He found it rather amusing until something occurred to him: I am scared of spiders ergo I must be a girl.

When he asked me if I was in fact a girl, I just said yes (even though I wasn't). I was just so embarrassed about being afraid of a spider ( it was a huuuge one though).

Anyways once we'd finished grinding I thought I could forget about the entire thing...but a couple hours later he whispered me again.

"Heyyyy :smirk::smirk: , you wanna come on Skype?"

Suffice to say I didn't play eso for a couple weeks after that.

Edit: I feel sorry for girl gamers.

I don't play female characters anymore because of this. I usually play males anyway, but I'd have a mix of genders. I was on a female Imperial Templar and this guy starts following me around while I'm questing. I think we are just on the same quest chain so I stop for a bit to see if I'm just imagining things and he will continue on. Then the whipsers start. "You have pretty eyes." Umm okay. I tell him I'm a guy but he thinks I'm lying. He wants to voice chat. Time to log off. I also feel sorry for women gamers. Creepy people everywhere.

I ran my first trial with a bow build on my night blade wood elf archer build. This was long before Stamina was considered good (pre 1.5 even). Nightblades were only taken for veil of blades at that time anyway (DKs were doing the real DPS), but looking back and thinking about the snipe spamming still makes me smile.

I was pretty drunk and ran a random vet dungeon to end my night. Direfrost Keep. Did fine until the last boss when I kept pressing the wrong buttons to break free. Yes, I was that guy who kept healing the boss. Lied, said I got glitched, then bailed the hell out of there
