I have one DC I made before I knew covenant lands were a boring dreck, and before I knew how awful DC are to pvp with. I wish I could make her AD :) She’s a Sorc and I already have an EP Sorc so it would be nice to have her on AD. She’s my only Breton.

I have some I want to swap so I could run in Cyro with a new group of friends who are all on the same fac, but all 15 of chars were leveled before I met them, and I could never just delete one of my toons.

Not really. Most of my characters are EP as that's the faction I liked most.

Although I still personally want a system where faction is something you sign up to when when you join a campaign, rather than a fixed choice at character creation.

Yes, I'd like to change some characters to the color of my prefered faction in pvp.

However, I guess the option to change factions would result in chaos in Cyrodiil.

I don’t PVP all that often lately. Never been that good at it. Part of me wouldn’t mind the easy way for some enemy sky-shards. Still, I’m blue team. That’s where I belong. I got that any race any alliance thing for that purpose. If that didn’t exist, I would just have to have only the blue team races.

I simply can’t picture myself running with the other sides. Weird, but I just feel loyal to my alliance. Guess it’s from all the good experiences on the blue side.

An option for other players wouldn’t bother me though. Would have to have restrictions, I think.

One or two maybe. I’m not a faction fanatic, I’m fine playing on any faction if I have someone to play with.

Isnt it possible to do it with a race change token ?

Otherwise i dont care much about faction. There are much deeper problems and not all can be fixed by the devs.

I purchased the "Any Race, Any Alliance" option from the crown store, but frustratingly, it is only useable at the point of character creation; it doesn't allow for changing the alliance of existing characters. I have enough invested in my current characters that re-rolling them isn't a desireable option.

I understand that changing alliances on a whim could be abused with regard to PvP, but none of my characters have taken part in any PvP, yet. If I had the option to change the alliance of my existing characters, it would be a one-time change, and I would change it before I engaged in PvP. IF I ever choose to, which is far from a certainty.

Nope. I wasted 2500 crowns just this morning just to try that. It doesn't work. Neither is it enabled with a Name Change or Appearance Change token.

Nope, as I play all 3. I wouldn't mind a factionless mercenary type fighting for whoever pays the most gold. All three factions essentially have the same type of people in them.

If I could keep the achievements and tank on my main, I’d go AD. I love the Ebonheart Pact with all my heart, but how they do in Vivec PC NA varies too much to be fun.

You’ll catch me dead before I make a DC toon though.

I would not, although I do really like the snowy environment in Northern Cryodiil. Down here in AD country it's nice and all, but we don't get two different climates like EP and DC.

persnally no I would not change factions. Id just level a new character and nhave one each faction.

But if ZoS wants to sell a token for it I don’t care!

Why didn't I think of that before voting? Of course I would play for the home team in Cyrodiil!

In regards to the three available alliances: no, I wouldn't change. I have one character in each alliance and that was done on purpose right from the get-go.

I do not understand why this is not a "thing" at this point in time.

I get why it wasn't an option at the begining of the game and the early game's focus on making ESO be a DAoC style game in which faction mattered. Remember, you used to get PvE bonuses for your faction's Cryoland success. However after 1Tam, the game shifted from DAoC: the Elder Scrolls edition to Skyrim Online. Faction only matters in Cryoland and the few people who PvP there now have characters on opposite factions anyways.

At the end of the day, it is not gamebreaking. You simply have to grind up a character to 50 and at this point in time, most people who PvP overland have more time to spend on the game than your typical gamer. However, I do not get why this is not a "thing" at this point in time.

Nope. All the characters I play with the Pact. We mostly win in Vivec. Why would I give that up? And for the record. I started as EP before I even knew about the faction war and that EP usually always wins on Xbox NA. It was just luck I happened to pick the mostly winning faction lol.

I wouldn't. If they do it; I feel like it would need to come along with lower or at least dynamic locks in Cyrodiil so people would want to balance population to get in rather than just stack for the best chance of running over the map as an AP farm.

The option might be nice, but at the moment I've got enough characters on DC and AD. Partially why I made a second account: to have classes I like to pvp on for both sides.

I used to have more time to play and as such played multiple characters. Now I'm busy with work and family and only play my main. My main is AD, but I prefer DC for PvP and also PVE (after going through the faction storylines I liked the DC zones and people the most) I have too much invested in my main to switch now so I just don't PvP (in Cryodiil) right now until I run out of PvE stuff to do. I would love a faction change.

Yes, because my main character (who is also my main crafter) and another important alt are of the Aldmeri Dominion. Both had been created before I joined my current social guild, which is focused on Ebonheart Pact, and before I bought the Adventurer's Pack allowing me to create characters in any alliance. Being unable to change my faction effectively prevents my two "bananas" from joining our guild's PvP activities in Cyrodiil and in the Imperial City.

There is simply no way I would ever delete and reroll my main crafter, as he is too advanced.

I still love the Aldmeri Dominion storyline the most, but as faction only matters in PvP zones now, it is simply a matter of being locked out of guild activities in this field.
This, lots of players are mostly pve but they join guilds who do pvp on other faction and has lots of alts and don't want to make more.
Yes it should be an crown store thing only, a bit cheaper than buying character slots.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
