I will be interested to see you return to this post after you've done those dungeons hundreds of times.

I'm not new to mmos and in the other mmos I have played I have done plenty of dungeons hundreds it not thousands of times and I have no issue walking through the dungeons to help a lower IL level player or at least clear the adds for them.
One game I played the devs got annoyed because of new player complaints and made it a requirement to kill all ads before you could fight a boss.Donny_Vito wrote: »Yes, this sucks. See my quote above about adds and the boss.
I do understand the term random and it is what it is...just mostly annoyed and may hold off until I'm 160 CP and chasing my gear.

I waited until cp 300 to start doing dungeons and no one believed me when I said I don’t know mechanics. 🤦♂️ I agree though no point in getting dungeon gear until you’re at cp 160. You might regret that if you get a good drop and it’s not max level.

still not an excuse to be a jerk. there is always a possibility that random players you are grouped up with - dont know all the ways to skip trash that you do. so - communicate. dont ruin experience for other people just because you for some reason still feel the need to keep running content you are bored of

I got to pieces I need for my healer build and I'm only level 39...LOL...
Also, if players burn through the dungeon how do you learn the mechanic anyway, you can't...
It seems to be a dissapointing trend in ESO that people would rather overpower enemies with insanely high dps than learn mechanics.
Sheezabeast wrote: »This could be happening to you for a couple of reasons. Some players who are after specific loot drops that only drop from bosses will pull trash mobs to save time. It is rude yes. Especially when not discussed with the group. Another reason is that with the introduction of motif mask drops, people speed run and even skip bosses, to get to the end boss of the delve, where it may have a chance to drop. And another thing is that there are achievements for completing speed runs of the dungeons, as well as no death runs, but people usually don’t do those through random group finder. Lastly, people may be in a hurry because they are running their daily random normal/vet dungeon for xp through group finder and may be using xp potions or scrolls that may be ticking down. All these reasons I have listed are NO excuse to not communicate with the group your needs, and failure to do so is rude, rude, rude. I’m sorry you are having trouble, I hope you find a guild and meet people you can group with for dungeoning

There are plenty of people out there who are willing to help, but you need to speak up and ask instead of assuming they know you're new to the dungeon.
It's just as frustrating to get into a random dungeon and wipe on the easiest of bosses because no one would say 'hey what do we do here?' or 'I haven't cleared this place yet, let me know if there's something I need to know!'
Communication goes both ways.
MEBengalsFan2001 wrote: »It does go both ways and you are right it is frustrating to wipe on an easy boss. Just like it is frustrating when you are left surround by adds and cannot get past them.
Does the lower non-vet dungeons have mechanics? If so, are there any I need to be aware of as a new player?

MEBengalsFan2001 wrote: »As a player new to ESO dungeons here are my thoughts on an issue I think needs to be address and that is high CP players running ahead leaving adds everywhere for the newer lower level players that do not have high stamina to run by the them or the ability to quickly kill 10+ enemies when surrounded.
On a related note. One of the dungeons has a wall of fire that comes up in the walkway when the boss is agroed. One idiot wiped his group (including me) as he ran to the boss and we couldn’t keep up.

The worst way to run a dungeon is doing it braindead. The best easy dungeon to tell apart brain using and braindead players is Blackheart Haven. Give it a try. Smart players will do it sneakydeaky, braindead players will play genocide island.
