Lets get rid of the transmuted symbol on gear

Hello 👋

I was wondering if anyone feels the same way. For some reason it bugs me a bit when I see the swirly symbol of a transmuted trait. Does anyone else feel the same? Or am I just crazy xD I was wondering if it was possible just to have the trait name without any symbol indicating it was transmuted?

    It doesn't bother me. I like knowing what gear is transmuted too.

    I guess your into "perfect gear" that type of gear that is perfect in stats/traits the first time it drops?

    Doesn't bother me at all in fact I like to know just how bad my luck was until transmutation feature was introduced.

    I dunno about perfect gear but scrolling through my armor and seeing like a circle on my gloves makes me cringe while the others have nothing on it. I think trait change is great!! But just not having the symbol would be better. 😆 why do you guys want to know you trait changed something?

    i just wish it didn't take the same slot as the other notations that actually determine my future course of action for that item. i have fast eyes and i'm on console, so i often just hold DOWN until something looks like something, but too often it's the useless transmutation logo. i don't mind it on the tooltip page on the right.

    ZOS will never learn to put toggles to "Enable/Disable".

    Toggles would solve issues/situations/requests for a LOT of things in this game.

    You want it? Toggle it on. You don't want it? Toggle it off.

    This is an important information because, as far as I understand, not all actions are possible with transmuted gear. For example you can't research it, if I'm correct.

    If it bothers you so much, why don't you keep farming?

    Not going to lie, it bugs me that my gear is not "perfect" because of that little icon.

    It's like a reminder that sure I have the best trait, but I didn't earn it did I. :sweat_smile:

    The symbol doesn't bother me at all. What does annoy me a little is that they sort to the bottom in the crafting UI when I go to upgrade them. More than once I've thought I was missing a piece because it wasn't in the list where it should have been.

    On a 1-10 scale of annoyances though it's maybe a 2.

    Never understood why this triggers so many people. Seems silly to me.

    It never once bothers me in the slightest. I hate grinding stuff so most of my gear is transmuted, I do a lot of pvp so the nodes are easy to get and i hate farming the dungeons for the correct trait to drop.

    of course you earned it, actually I would argue that you earned it even more by transmuting. First you had to learn that trait in crafting, then you had to farm the gear, then you had to farm the transmute crystals, then transmute it.

    People who got lucky and had the trait they wanted drop first time had it easy.

    I assume they had some other purpose in mind for having it marked. I think that purpose simply never came about.

    (I suspect it's to prevent you from deconning an item that is arguably 'worth' more due to the transmute. It's rather redundant with the ability to lock gear though.)
    Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

    IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.
    I am neither warm, nor fuzzy...
    Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS

    Toggle to hide it like mentioned above. Those that have a problem with the OP request can keep it on, while those that want a solution like the OP can hide it.

    It mostly bugs me because it affects the sort order in the deconstruction menu. (Transmuted stuff is at the bottom).

    OP might be able to put in a request for a slight mod of something like SetTracker. it could add a blank background icon situated right over top of the current transmute marker. Not ideal, but maybe the next best thing?

    Not just bother me, but the itens transmuted (and with that symbol) go to the end of the list in your inventory.

    Lol please don’t take it so serious. It’s one of those things where my ocd kicks in and sees something a little off so I just cringe and happily go along with playing eso. I’m so glad that transmutating is even available! Just wanted to see if they could smooth out the way I view my gear. That’s all. 😂😅

    I see it as I have the perfect trait and I can just play the game and not grind for an extra 1% in DPS.


    Or, i have prevailed despite RNG trying to beat me down.

    It doesn’t trigger me that gear can be transmuted. The little symbol just bugs me LOL 😝

    If they don’t want to change it I’m ok 👌

    I’m not asking for some massive change to character balancing or lag/dropped frame rates.. or am I? 🤔

    Lol. This isn’t the 1st post requesting this, and I have to agree with OP. First of all, hell yes I love transmute...but...the icon is kinda like food stuck in someone’s front teeth when they smile at you. Or talking to someone and there’s a stain on their shirt. Definitely bigger issues, but, ya know. You got somethin in your teeth.
