Launcher stuck on Loading...

I haven't played this game in a while and I just finished installing it. The launcher has been on "Loading..." since forever. It randomly did work earlier and I just quit the game to do something but it's doing it again.

Edit: It works again but this is still a worrying inconsistency and it can't be normal.
Edit2: ...and now it doesn't work again

I can tell you how I solved this.

1) Open new tab
2) Type 'ESO launcher stuck loading' in the address bar
3) Click the first link.

I know this is incredibly complex walkthrough, I've tried to dumb it down as much as possible.

I already tried this before. None of that works.

Might want to mention in your original post 'I've tried x, y & z' before people try to help.

Also the solution is on that page. If non of it has worked for you then time to uninstall.

That's not a fix plus there are many different ways to go about fixing things.

I've had this issue lately, the only way it works now is to start the Launcher then open Microsoft Edge [let that load] then the launcher suddenly springs into action like it woke up. I don't know why, but if it helps I have recently reformatted my PC so I might be missing some library or whatever that the Launcher needs to finish loading until Edge nudges it awake.

I'll try that next time. Today I spent like 2 hours opening and closing it repeatedly cause it wouldn't work. I closed my browser (Firefox) and then it immediately worked after. I'm not sure if that was a coincidence but I wasn't about to try and figure it out lol. I also did reformatted my PC just a few days ago, so maybe it's something to do with that.

I also have had a problem with the Launcher being stuck on loading.
Following the above didn't work.
It is currently downloading all 67Gb, it is going to take maybe 15 hours.

Additional step I did was run a registry fix, I used CCleaner that I found in a search.
After fixing the registry.
Next step was (as above), go to Launcher folder, delete 'ProgramData' folder.
Run launcher, wait a minute, it is working, download button is now available - which is what it is doing now.

If I have not uninstalled and deleted ESO, I may have only needed to update it. As it is, it will be another day before I get any Event tickets for the 2021 Undaunted currently underway.

(Obviously I like this game that I'm willing to go through this.)
