What's Your DPS?

Well, if you had a decent unit (a pc) then combat metrics could give direct feedback on both your penetration and overall performance. As it is, your console simply isn't up for the task. All you really know is how you do it alone with an inanimate partner and self buffs. It's better to measure up with a hot boss like the lava queen. She's got hot friends you'll have to take on too. But who knows, maybe with that self studied dps of yours, you may both be done with the experience rather quickly. Gratz

PS4 NA? Seriously. If you are not hitting at least 52k on a stamden then yeah dont embarass yourself.

Your DPS would not get you into a base game vet pledge in my PC NA guilds.

He cant be bragging. Unless that is actually half decent in his circles. Which makes me wonder why you would intentially come here to call yourself out?

Is that the kind of response you are fishing for?

Thanks all for stroking my ego.

But on ps4na, I am lower tier dps.

I'm the low guy in most my Guilds. I get laughed at for not breaking 50k on a StamDen.

So really, thank you all for treating me like I'm a dps God. Really. Thank you.

how can ps4 be so much better with dps, yet come dead last in score runs?

I can only do 24k on a 6mil dummy but in dungoens combat metrics had me doing 34k on bosses. Not sure if its true or all the buffs and stuff help up your dps?

Dungeon boss fights are far more accurate than target dummies

My highest is 23k on a magdk. I'm CP 702 in BSW and Silks w divines. Grothdaar set. Atronach mundis. Everything golded out except for jewelry which is all spell damage. I know I have to improve my rotation a bit. I am weaving light attacks in between my abilities. But the thing that is killing me is my controller. Abilities don't fire off when they are supposed to. Especially my ulti. Other than that, how can I improve? Everyone says you should be able to hit 30k easily just from light attack spam. I'm not seeing it.

Was able to up it to 25k. Tried to upload image, but it isn't working.

Target dummies are a baseline that people use for DPS. With group buffs in group content with good uptimes your dps will be higher, with some classes benefiting more from those buffs and seeing a larger increase. For example, magblades will parse higher on a target dummy because they have minor beserk. A class that doesn't have minor beserk will see an increase of ~4-5% from combat prayer if a healer is running that in the group.

When people ask what someone's dps is, they are generally asking your target dummy dps. Well informed players know that it will be higher in actual content with buffs. Well most content, some content has mechanics that intentionally lower dps amounts, but again that is usually taken into account.

    Pic or don't bother.

    I'm a scrub and this is my best;

    458.jpg

Making an assumption about ps4 players dps being higher than xb1 isnt valid with only a few trollish comments. I would say that 40-46k with a stamblade or stamden is normal. With best skills and gear 50k is pretty simple. i have both a stamblade and stamwarden tgat hit over 50k but i rarely play either. If you cab hit 40-42k on a stamsorc then your numbers in group are gonna be equal to or better than that anyway and the stamsorc survivability is irreplacable.

People should post DPS from WBs, dummy, or dungeon bosses NOT TRASH MOBS,

To op, if your DPS is scrub, you ain't following the mainstream build because mainstream builds are the only viable ones that can pull high DPS. As for you DPS, that's a good number for casual play but for trials & DLC dungeons you should be aiming 30k+.

Some friends made 45k on parser testing , but they keep dying in real battle .

lol , extra penetration support , orb refill , combat prayer , they don't even slot shield or healing skill .

I feel the test is meaningless :)

@ccfeeling It really depends on what you're doing with your dps test.

I do all mine with a minimum of 16.5k max health, max pen 12.5k for mag builds (including ele drain) or 9k for stam builds. Mostly they are for comparing against myself. the hardest part is identifying what is a cheese build that boosts the dummy dps vs just a plain good build.

A great example of this is the asylum destro staff. You get significantly higher uptimes of minor vulnerability increasing your parse dps by up to 8%, however if you normally run with someone providing that buff anyway then you don't see that translate into a "real" dps increase.

I'm really not a fan of the trend for people to use lava-foot soup or eye scream for max resource & max regen food for 6 mil parses. Sure it makes your parse look lovely but in reality you are building around the assumption you'll have full resource support all the time.

It's much harder to get away with a cheese parse on PC since people want to see a CMX output, not the chat text.

I get about 142k dps. Self buffed. And I’m using my non-dominant foot on that parse. I get 147k when using my left foot.

When I was fighting the Molag bal’s penetrating attacks on the last fight, I got 5000k dps parse. Self buffed.

Look at my big epeen. Apparently they sell non combat *** in the crown store. You too can have a massive epeen

Edit: I don’t get why the forums censor the word *** when I refer to a chicken. What’s up with that ZOS?

About 25k. But I am a special case, since I actively choose not to cheat or exploit. And without exploiting the faulty animations, 25k is about the most you can do.

Don't know, don't care. I can kill things and heal things. The groups I run with can clear trials/dungeons most of the time. Just being able to pull my weight and kill stuff is good enough for me. :)

I thought I was low on my stamblade, when I actually once tried to see what my damage was on a dummy with my pve sets, but apparently I am okayish when it comes to dummy.. but then I dont think in the real situation I am that high though, because then I really needed to concentrate on my rotation, and I cant animtaioncancel most stuff intuitively. also my sustain is.. well bad.. and survivability weeell.. .. especially not in pvp when XD

So much epeen insecurity in one thread. :)

Any game that has some form of damage meter has a gaggle of DPS Size Queens that are compelled to measure and compare...and then usually disparage any other player that doesn't measure up to this weeks set of numbers.

    Bless 'em - they're adorable.

I have no idea what my DPS is - I play all classes, I try and play them well and have fun doing it. I don't need the numbers to validate my experience. I play with friends and pugs, vet and normal, and seem to mostly encounter people of the same mindset as me.

So if anyone is reading this thread and thinking 'wow, I must really suck' - you probably don't...and even if you do, as long as you're having fun, it doesn't matter. :)

My accountant told me to invest my money in bonds. So I bought 100 copies of Goldfinger.

Unicorns and cannonballs, palaces and piers
Trumpets, towers and tenements, wide oceans full of tears.
Flags, rags ferryboats, scimitars and scarves
Every precious dream and vision, underneath the stars.

Group buffs can bump your parse up 10k easy. When my guildie was buffing my character on his Healer my dps was a ton higher than what I can do on my own.
