Every node I leave behind could have had my Aetherial Dust.
Every Mob I leave alive could have had that recipe fragment to make the Aetherial stuff.

Does this stop me from passing them by? No, it's just what goes through my head when I do. I have 4 to 5 figures of each and every crafting mat in the game. I really don't need any more. I have even gotten to the point that I am tossing Surveys. Strange as I harvested so rarely in the first year of the game, then like a Hoover for the next two years, now I rarely harvest anymore again.

Pick up everything

Don't need it ... Trade for items you do need

Picking it also helps with he respawning and possibly of items you do want ... The rusala might end up as a nimara's Rot next time

My answer... I've learned to not ride my mount a lot of times, since it seems every time I get on it I notice a resource node and I have to get off.

In the day I can sometimes ride past nodes.

When its night time..... not a chance, the light....... so bright........

I avoid wood nodes in Valenwood areas (ie Grahtwood, Greenshade, Malabal Tor)

I'll stop for most jewelry nodes and usually Columbine with an occasional on Bugloss. I do a lot of writs and end up with a lot of surveys, and I PvP so I get the once a day crafting mats of some kind satchel too. Between those, I don't really "need" to farm mats too much.

I don't mount most of the time because I harvest everything and it's a pain getting on and off my mount so often.
