Can't Gold Items from Vendor

I just bought a medium Blood Spawn helmet for 200kAP in Cryodiil, but I can't make it Gold, I have all the mats, have tried re loading UI, relogging, using blacksmithing stations in Cyrodiil, Mournhold, and my home, tried unlocking, locking, and putting it in my bank. Am I doing somehting wrong? Or can you not gold out gear from the vendor?

I think you need clothier station to upgrade medium armor and not blacksmithing station.

You can gold out the gear from the vendor, I've done it.

The problem is that medium armor is golded out at the Clothing station, not blacksmithing.
