Yes I had the same experience. Ran it 10-20 times and no one in my groups got it.

At that point I was frustrated and started looking at guild traders. It took and hour of bouncing around Tamriel to find a single one for sale. Price was $500k which seemed too high. So I did a few more runs and nothing. Went back to buy it and it was gone.

Eventually I found one in a trader and bought it. Ironically I was doing a pledge this week and got the drop. It sold from my trader in less than an hour for the same high price I paid.

So yes, this one seemed harder to get than previous. I had assumed no one wants to run Crucible because it takes a while but it also may be a lower drop rate.

Receiving them on the first day is not unheard of. I have personally received every page so far in the first day, some on 3rd run, some on 5th. The one exception was Ilambris, and now this. I would accept if lots of people were getting it and you could actually find them on guild stores. But there is definitely that feeling that the drop rate on this one is broken.

Could it be that the drop on HM is borked? Can anyone confirm that they got the page without HM? I know it should make no difference provided you have the achievement unlocked already. Could that be the issue?

I would have sold mine if I knew I could make 500k off it... *Bummed*

I know I'm not. Of all the people I know and who've been trying to obtain it, none of them managed so far. I've personally run the dungeon dozens of times (possibly 50 or more, haven't been counting) and have seen it drop to the group a mere three times.

I've already told these masks to kiss my backside. I have better things to do with my time on the game than spam one dungeon relentlessly hoping to get it to drop.

They need to increase the drop rates. By a lot.

I agree. And if this goes on I'll give up on chasing future masks. It's bad enough that they are scarce due to only being obtainable during a specific month. Making them extra rare by nerfing the drop rate to decimal numbers just emphasizes the fact that the devs want us to do literally nothing else with our play time other than to grind. Gods forbid we actually play to have fun. Can't have that, no sir, not here.

We already grind almost everything. Gear. Gold. Quests. Achievements. Dailies by the hundreds. And now this.

I'll keep running it but if the timer on the mask drop expires and I still have not received one, I'm giving up on future drops.

At least make them drop all year round if they're gonna be THIS rare.

Guaranteed on HM would be too much. The only way I could see the guaranteed method working was if it was for HM DLC dungs and even then, one page per group would be perfectly fine. Those who can HM it would farm it just like they do for motifs already.

For base game dungeons, HM guaranteed would be overkill. I alone would have dozens of pages already and so would almost all other players who are willing to PUG a vet.

It makes sense that the head drops from the same place we get the monster head, and the shoulder from the same place we get the monster shoulder (dungeon boss and undaunted chest respectively). But the distribution of drops seems so off. The shoulder pages have been much much cheaper in guild stores, which tells us that they're more common. It's true that players can farm keys all month and then just binge on a chest to get a few shoulder pages. But the same should be true for the helmet page. If we binge on a dungeon for days we should realistically be able to get a few pages. It feels like that's not really true, especially for this one round.

The drop rate is for sure terrible since the dungeon is for sure easier then WGT (white gold tower) yet the price is way higher.
As for how they can improve it without completely overflowing the market is easy actually:

- They can make it a guaranteed after a certain number of runs (similar to the new skin) but only for the first drop then use the current rng system, that way you have a reason to actually grind the dungeon, I believe this solution is the best way from a player point of view at least.

- Or they can instead keep the rng system in place but each time you fail to get the mask you get a higher chance next attempt of course they can put a max chance to prevent it from becoming guaranteed and of course the system should only be available on the first drop only

I just searched every main city trader in every alliance zone. Along with most other zones to. I could only find 1 listing for the Troll King helm style page. It was listed at 2 mil. I can not find another one any where. TTC website does not seem to recognise either of the style pages for Troll King even though there is plenty of shoulders around. The shorter time frame for this style page being in game and the amount of people not aware of the system lately seems to largely have contributed to this fist time serious shortage of this item. The market usually floods when these dungeons are the pledge and this time it has occurred less than previous ones

Little sadistic me keeps on running the dungeon today. Still nothing on this side. I'm frankly starting to dislike this whole monster helm style page deal.

The concept of it is interesting. However, if these are going to be gated behind an exclusive window, and then further gated behind some horrible RNG then they're neither fun nor interesting to chase. They're just one more endless grind designed to make players hate running the content due to such burnout.

After this I'm more inclined to go run MHK HM with no armor on than stepping into normal Crucible in the next few months...

At least let us buy rhe page for like 50 keys or somethingstraight from the undaunted vendor. Make that one bound if you have to. This is just lousy.

I've searched almost all the trade hubs several times over several days at this point, and I've literally seen only one for sale for two million. Tons and tons of shoulders, but no masks. It's bizarre.

Doesn't help that TTC doesn't have it in the database for some reason.

I had the same problem with the previous Grothdar head motif page, this time I got the Troll King motif page right the second run. RNG is just quite terrible in this game.
