    Type 3

The kind of person who thinks there are a lot more types of people here than just two.

All I see is hate and rage from people who don't understand how to.....

Type 1: Person sees something they perceive as too expensive, they think that's too expensive so they just don't buy it and move on.
Type 2: Person sees something they perceive as too expensive, they tell everyone else they're crazy to pay that much, the company is insane to charge that much, and otherwise create constant controversy, flame companies in disrespectful ways, etc.
Type 3: Person sees something they believe is too expensive and they begin to critically evaluate the situation, possibly sharing their reflections with others. They then (usually) do not purchase the item or wait for it to be priced at a more sensible level.

Type 1: Person dies to someone in pvp or gets out dpsd, they try to get better, read a bit more about how to spec for pvp or to do better dps.
Type 2: Person dies to someone in pvp or gets out dpsd, NERF THREADS a plenty to everything.
Type 3: Person dies to someone in PvP or gets out DPS'd and doesn't care because they aren't a competitive gamer.

Type 1: Person has the option to choose any race that fits their class. They realize they chose the wrong race, they change race to maximize their build.
Type 2: Person has the option to choose any race that fits their class. They realize they chose the wrong race, they come to the forum and say it's unfair that some races are better than their race and that all racial benefits that are better than theirs need nerfed.
Type 3: Person has the option to choose any race that fits their class. They aren't a competitive gamer, so there is no such thing as the "wrong race" and there is no need to change anything.

Type 1: Person can't complete vMA to get their bow, they continue on hating everything, doubting themselves, etc. until they complete vMA and can get the weapon.
Type 2: Person can't complete vMA to get their bow, they came to the forum, started a thread requesting to nerf the vMA bow.
Type 3: Person has never set foot in vMA because they aren't a competitive gamer, are simply not interested in the content, and/or do not have access to the content.

Type 1: Can't get something. They realize that they don't have to have everything.
Type 2: Can't get something. They hate that someone else has something they don't have therefore changes need to be made, stated in the most vitriolic way expressing their extreme disapproval, that someone else will have something that they don't have.
Type 3: Can't get something. They know they don't have to have everything, but recognize that accessibility is important. They may constructively comment on this from time to time and question the developer's decisions to gate certain types of content in a specific manner.

Let's add in some Type 4, Type 5, Type 6, and so forth. Because ever gamer is different. =)

I'm not so sure type 2 outnumbers type 1. Type 2 is just louder than type 1. That combined with the fact that people generally notice bad behavior over good behavior makes it seem that we're mostly type 2.

You seem like the type of person that pours the milk in the bowl before the cereal.

Now ... I sometimes fall into that category

Normally I'm a cereal then milk persons but if I have a shortage of milk I will go milk first, as it's better to have some cereal with correct milk to cereal ratio than have cereal that only got to sniff the milk

Surely you should just instinctively know how much cereal you will need, from the weight of the milk carton alone?

    You're, clearly, not a type 1...

I'm *** at stuff like that cos I'm over indulgent ... More a type 2 ...lol

What you're basically saying is that the two types of people are:

    - an idealized version of yourself
    - a cynical and simplistic view of not you

Edit: I just noticed the Ayn Rand quote in your signature. Your post makes perfect sense now.

That moment when you pour a full bowl of cereal only to open the fridge and see you’re all out of milk...

Type 1 - Eats the bowl of cereal dry.

Type 2 - Uses water or another supplement like that almond milk that has been sitting in the fridge for 6 months.

Bleh. Rash incoming, thanks to forgotten almond allergy :D

Well, being a type 2 is more beneficial in real life. If you're loud, annoying and obnoxious, people tend to apologize and give you whatever you want after a while, just to make it stop. Mainly because most people are type 1 and dislike wasting energy on unnecessary conflicts.

It's like being in a restaurant and the waitress forgot your order. Type 1 will wait and wait, ask politely and eventually get the food. Type 2 will cause a scene, curse out the staff and get the meal for free.

Not sure it's equally useful in online games though. It's not like you can change anything by writing angry tickets or forum posts. You kinda need to be in someones face or impossible to ignore, to get type 2 benefits.

Instead of writing for so long you could just ask whether somebody is QQ person or not

I am person 1 though, when I couldnt do VMA first time I tried it I respeced my CP, searched through stuff on net, reviewed where my problem with last boss was (lag spikes) changed build to more survivability build (perma block) and solved it. Not that I ever got what I wanted but than realised I do not need vMA inferno staff at all I do fine with my BSW + Sun set combo.
