Indrik buffs?

I have a Templar who wears SPC. (Just so I'm not keeping anyone in the dark, Spell Power Cure is a set whose 5-piece bonus grants an offensive buff to anyone who is healed while their health is full. The visual indicator of the buff is a purple glow.)

He randomly throws buffs out around cities because, why not? I've noticed at the Indrik pen outside Daggerfall that when I lay a healing AoE, part of the Indrik lights up with the same purple glow. It's on the backs of their heads, in two spots that correspond with the height of the antlers.

I can't imagine this will have any gameplay consequences, since our mounts don't fight or even treat health like we do. Neither do I suspect that our Indriks will be able to wear gauntlets on the backs of their heads. I guess I just want to ask if anybody else has noticed this, and if they have any insight why this would happen.

I'm looking forward to seeing if the rideable version will also light up this way. The horses I see standing around don't, and I haven't seen it on anyone's ridden mounts.

Usually happens with NPC's, has no effect

yeah, i've noticed that too. named NPCs are affected, but generic ones like "Mages Guild Scholar" aren't. some of the folks who are followers on quests are susceptible while others aren't, and that seems to have a similar differentiation.

so then, i guess you're saying that random horses at stables aren't filed as Named NPCs but the display Indriks are.

why the back of the head, though? i guess it's gotta go somewhere
