Basically none, as long as the circle on the ground is yellow, you are good to go.
You reveal yourself best in how you play.

Navam Llervu - Dark Elf Dragonknight
    Aniseth - Wood Elf Warden
    Therediel - Wood Elf Templar

They can be placed anywhere neutral or owned by your alliance, as long as there's room and the ground is flat enough. They cannot be placed in close proximity to an enemy owned keep or resource. This means if an enemy captures a keep or resource you have a camp on, it will disappear, because it can't be on enemy land.

Etiquette of camp placement is important. Familiarize yourself with the spawn radius. If placing one during a battle (i.e. attacking a keep) place it close enough so that those who die can actually spawn there.

Nothing is more frustrating than dying and not being able to spawn at a camp because it was placed too far away.

This is false. Camps can be placed near enemy keeps and resources. I do it all the time.

Always place for maximum coverage of where the action is. Obscured line of sight is a plus.

Placing camps at a resource in a way that as soon as you get to the inner wall or door where you are sieging you are out of range is...stupid.

If you are on defense and are pushing out, placing a camp on the other side of the keep is not optimal as the tide may turn and your forces may be out of range during the push. Hopefully someone is repairing the breach but, at least on DC NA our keeps take forever to unburst.

this is definitely a tricky topic. tbh each keep has its own secret special best fc placements. without actually playing enough to find them its hard to help. For example the hills above the aswell mine ... guarantee you there is a camp somewhere there anytime a competent assault is happening.

No, what I said is accurate. If you are too close to an enemy holding you won't get a yellow circle, you'll get a red circle and message that says "you are too close to an enemy keep" or "you are too close to an enemy resource". You are clearly dropping your camps far enough away. To prove the point, go try to place a camp on top of a resource tower that is enemy owned.

One restriction I forgot in my earlier post is that camps also cannot be placed inside the circumference of another friendly camp.

I suppose it depends on the definition of "close proximity". I was under the impression you meant to say it couldn't be played anywhere near enemy keeps/resources. I never even tried to place them that close lol. Sorry for the misunderstanding then.
