Lock symbol on skill --> cannot remorph

I have the 'Venom Arrow' morph on my 'Poison Arrow' skill. I want to remorph it to "poison Injection'.
When I go to the shrine to do this, the UI doesn't show the controls to do it.
I was able to remorph many other skills, this is the only one that doesn't allow it.
On top of the skill symbol there is a symbol of white lock:
This problem has persisted for more than a week, so I have rebooted my whole house by this time. Reboots do not help.

✭You need to reset your skill points to correct this. You might be able to pick the cheaper option of remorphing skills at a respec shrine, but you might be forced to pick the more expensive reset option (I think I was able to use the cheaper option with my toon that had that issue but I don't recall for sure). Either way, you don't need to reset everything, just that skill.
For what causes this... Sometime back, the xp cost to upgrade/morph various skills was changed (increased for most skills altered). This caused the problem you're seeing for older characters that had maxed certain skills before the changes and then returned to the game afterwards. You technically no longer have the required experience to morph that skill, which is why its showing as locked, but its already morphed and listed as maxed (via the old rules for it) so you are unable to gain more experience to get you out of said problem. Until you reset that skill back to its base level at a respec shrine, and work it up to the new max xp needed, that skill will eternally be stuck in locked-limbo.PC NA @Ertosi♠♦ My Team ♥♣

✭✭✭✭✭My guess is this character dates back to before the Bow line was reorganized. iirc, this skill used to be first in the line and was moved to last.
What that meant is the base skill needed more XP to morph since it is not a higher level skill. However, players only experienced this if they did a respec.
It has been a year or more since that change and if you have not done a respec and the character is not fairly new then this issue may be related.

Isnt there a "reset all" option (not whole screen visible)
If thts the case you should try that.
If it doesnt solve the problem, the Idk what causes it.PC EU

Now it is the last skill requiring a lot more.
I don't know, if one can gain exp on skill that is already maxed. Or what is the threshold one needs to reach to be able to remorph: is it the morph limit of the skill on the new position or max exp after the morph.
Anyway, I thought I'll give it a try. I grabbed some master writ vouchers, read the 150% exp scroll and went to turn those writs in. 2M exp later (and many Error 307s), the skill is still locked.
Maybe I still didn't reach the treshold or then it cannot be done this way....

you will have to reset all Skillpoints, this overrides the option to only redo this skill, by completly removing all used skillpoints.
When you did that, then you should be able to get the baseskill again, which then will NOT be at rank IV, so you have to lvl up that first, then you should be able to morph it again.PC EU

So, I was accepting that I have to bite the bullet and go through the hassle of nuking all my skills.
Went to the shrine to clear skills (not morphs), was going to press the "nuke'em all"-button, but lo and behold!
There was a control next to the skill to clear only that skill. So I pressed it and voila!:
That was so.... easy!
As you can see from the image, the skill is now at level 2 with a progress towards level 3 at ~60K/70K exp points.
This also confirms that the 2M exp that I made yesterday with this skill on the active bar was not counted anywhere.

So, back when they made the change, instead of just applying whatever current xp to the new xp requirement and giving us a message about it when we log in (Hey! you need to relevel this skill!), they force us to reset the skill and re-earn the xp for it. They could also have just given the xp to anyone who already had some xp in the skill (Old %xp * NewMaxXP) I mean, they must have had to add a page of code to account for this lock-until-reset-for-low-xp thing, when a macro could have put the skill back where it was and doctored the skill xp number much easier. Did they just make a post about it? Because I don't remember getting a notice, or better yet, a free reset scroll. I could have re-maxed the skill months ago if I'd known. Great.
