So how do we customize the Indrik after we have it?

Has there been an article with info about what customization options we have for the Indrik mount? I can't find any.

In the original statement it talked about the different berries for the different "evolutions." It appears that the berries will be tied to future events next year, purchasable in the same way the feathers have been. So keep your extra event tickets for the berries!

you can also check all of the related info with the in-game help system...as far as the berries, it has been established that they would be purchased from the same impresario that sells the feathers, however, I haven't seen where the currency to use has yet been verified. They'll most likely be purchased with tickets, but you never know, maybe they'll be purchased with other currency like gold or writ vouchers, who knows. Also, they have stated that the berries will be available for a limited time. That is stated very directly, in the in-game help. It will take a set of 4 different berries, unique to a specific morphing. From that, it sounds like there will be 16 berries, but I'm only extrapolating that last part. I'm also hoping that the berries would become available during New Life, because a lot of players will have all 4 feathers and be able to create the nascent indrik at that point, but again that hasn't yet been discussed, they've only said that the berries would be available for a limited time.

While writing this, I've re-read the in-game info for the indrik and berries again, and now, I'm confident that there will be 16 berries, 4 different ones for each of the 4 different evolutions. They've also stated that once you evolve a nascent indrik into one of the 4 morphs by using the berries, it will lock in that indrik, and will unlock a new slot for you to begin earning another indrik. At that point, you'd then start from the beginning, earning tickets & buying feathers, etc. You'd then buy another set of 4 different berries for the next indrik evolution you wanted to get.

Sometimes, it takes a few readings to understand something from zos, but more often than not, if we digest it sufficiently, the answer to questions will often be in the info already provided by them. I guess I can sometimes see their point of not overdiscussing things, so as to not mislead, or misinform the players.

During the last PTS cycle, 3 of the 4 Dawnwood Berries were tested. There were not enough Berries to test evolution of the Nascent Indrik.

I would not have high expectations for berries during the New Life Festival.

Remember that some players don’t even have three feathers yet ... and some will still need tickets to buy their fourth.

Not to mention ZOS doesn’t want players skipping Events due to being ahead in tickets.

I'm on console, so I didn't test myself. I could have made that clear.

My info comes from the PTS patch notes (4.2.2 I believe). It seems the Berries were added to the Impresario's inventory as part of the testing for Events... I think one of the Berries became available after running Midyear Mayhem 2019 testing.

The berries were 10 tickets each. On PTS there were 3 berries available at the Impresario, but on Live I expect them to be introduced one at a time at succeeding events like the feathers have been.

Are the forms you buy with berries something you can change? Like can I choose whether to use normal Indrik, evolved Indrik, or some other form on a per-character basis?

you may be right about the berries, but i've already skipped an event for that very reason, and i may not be the only one to have done so, because plenty of players were ready to buy their 3rd ticket on the first day of the Undaunted event...

Interesting...they're more than i'd have expected, because that's as many tickets (40) as you need to get the indrik itself. That may mean that players who bought dupe tickets may still have a bit of a wait, because you can't start a second indrik until you evolve the first one.

The simplest thing and based on what they've already said each form is almost certainly just a collectible.

Unlock the nascent and its under collections -> mounts, evolve it and nascent gets locked again and the new form is unlocked. Then get another nascent and now you've two indrik forms in your collection. Any character can choose from any of the unlocked forms so they can all ride the same one same as right now if I want all my characters could be riding a sabre cat.

The whole berry thing, from the in-game book/paper I think there are only four berries to choose from. Not sure how the mechanism actually works but I'd bet on either four of the same or once you feed the first berry its then a set sequence it tells you to follow. Very much doubt it would be four from sixteen.

Of course I could just be channelling a lot of hot air but it feels about right, at least to me.

I think eventually we'll be able to unlock all 5 indriks, but that will involve getting a nascent indrik and evolving it 4 times (into 4 different forms) then getting a 5th nascent one to complete the collection. I'll be extremely surprised if we can change one indrik into different forms, even after unlocking them, because none of the other collectables work like that.

And as other people have said its likely the berries will be available 1 at a time from successive events like the feathers were since one purpose of the system seems to be to get players to participate in all the different events rather than grinding their favourite or the easiest one.

The following are excerpts from the in-game help article for Nascent Indrik Evolution:

"Evolving the Nascent Indrik requires an unlocked Nascent Indrik mount collectible and 4 specific Enchanted Berries..."
[establishes that you need 4 berries to do an evolution]

    and
"The Enchanted Berries need to be for the same evolution form to work."
[establishes that the 4 berries needed for one evolution are different from those needed for the other evolutions]

    and
"...if you have a Nascent Indrik and the 4 different Dawnwood Enchanted Berries, the Nascent Indrik becomes a Dawnwood Indrik."
[establishes that the 4 berries needed are not 4 of the same berry but that those 4 berries needed are different from each other]

Since there are 4 different evolutions, and 4 different berries needed for each evolution, that would in fact mean that you need a specific group of four of the sixteen different berries to do each evolution.

Yes to all you've said. And I agree with others above that they will likely roll the berries out the same way they are doing event tickets. So, the first berry for each evolution type during one event (probably whatever the first one during 2019 is), then next event will have the second berry for each evolution type, etc. Essentially ensuring that the process of evolving the indrik takes the player well into 2019. Probably around Midyear Mayhem next year it will be time to start over with collecting feathers again.

I noticed in collections, mounts, down the bottom it says Dawnwood Indrik. But I don't want that one, I'd rather have the gold shiny Indrik. So I guess that means waiting till they have an event to evolve my Nascent Indrik into the gold one?

They'll be doing good to get people to unlock the first one and possibly evolve once. If they think this will keep people chasing the carrot for four more copies of the mount + four more sets of berries, I bid them good luck.

Unfortunately for me it will be irrelevant as the upcoming event won't supply enough event tickets for me to acquire the mount. Real life and time constraints have prevented me from joining all but two events so probably 2 event tickets short for the final feather.

That aside, I hope you all enjoy the mount it will be interesting to see it running around in game.

Different people like different things. Some people have been looking forward to the indriks ever since they were data-mined and assumed to be crown store/crate mounts. Once this system was announced quite a few people said they're planning to get all 5 variants and some have already started buying a second set of feathers with 'spare' tickets.

I'm sure participation will drop over time as some people lose interest in the novelty and others get the one indrik they want and stop, but given the number of ESO players it's ridiculous to assume everyone feels the same way about it and no one will want all of them.

Then of course there's people getting them just because they may as well. I only really want the dawnwood indrik, and if they were crown store purchases I wouldn't get any of the others, so once I've got that I won't go out of my way to get more tickets. But I'm not going to refuse to use any extra tickets either, so if the system is around long enough I will eventually end up with more of them.

The most important part of this Indrik is that unlike 99% of the mount skins available, this one is not a crown shop or worse, a crown crate, exclusive skin nor a promotion for pre-purchasing something.

It may be too much grind for some and/or gratification too delayed but c'mon, lets give credit where credit is due: we can all actually earn these by playing the game. That's a good thing.

Agreed. That was a pleasant surprise. I'm hoping things like this and the Summerfall event are the first steps in a new process of splitting cosmetics (other than motifs) between the game and the crown store instead of putting them all into the crown store.

And the system has definitely worked on me. Normally I ignore most of the events because they don't appeal to me at all. Double the normal rewards for doing the same activities we do all year isn't an event to me and with all the problems that result from too many people in the same map I'd actually prefer to stay away and get stuff slower but more reliably later on.

But this time because there is actually something unique to earn I've been joining in. I'd still prefer actual festival activities, which is why New Life is my favourite, but at least there is something to make the events feel distinct to every other day of the year.
