Queues would be so much better if characters could respec with ease before queueing. No need for fake tanks if people can have both a dps and tank spec that doesn't require going to a shrine.

Build "profile" would be a better term. Allow characters to have build profiles. They could use the "meta" build for tank, dps, support in each profile. Of course learning HOW to play the build is up to the player.
At least give us the option to have multiple character profiles (skills, attributes, gear - combinations), that can be easily toggled between.

Being a role-playing game, ESO follows the doctrine of creating characters that are individual people. The system is designed around the idea of building a character to be expert in one discipline, such as magic, but just average in others, such as warrior.
The decisions made by the player in creating and building a character is the essence of game play. Specifically for role-playing games, the creation of individuals and the decision trees of specialization go all the way to 1972, when Gary Gygax and Dave Arenson published Chainmail and thus invented role-playing games.
I understand what you're after... you're looking for a way to enjoy the varying types of content in ESO and to play the content from different approaches to the challenges, without spending tedious time to equip your character for whatever content and however way you wish to play.
There are a few tweeks that could be made to make minor adjustments easier, notably switching from PvE to PvP content. But there is a limit to what Zeni should do, since going too far down that path erodes characters as individual people and reduces them to robots or machines, a state in which the gameplay becomes a decision between Loadout Alpha or Loadout Beta on Mannequin IV.
ESO is an heir to Gygax's Dungeons & Dragons... create Elara the Red, play as Elara the Red to learn to become a better mage, and explore Tamriel, with the advantages and disadvantages we have as humans... but in a heroic realm, with fantastic beasts, mighty gods, incredible challenges, and fabulous rewards.
That's the essence of fantasy role-playing games.
ESO is my go-to MMO right now so this is not an "Everyone should leave ESO" post. I love the game and hope to be playing for a long time.
However, there are few items that are still keeping me open to switching to other MMOs. I am curios to see the feedback to my thoughts below and if the user population is in agreement or not to these features/changes that I am hoping to see if future releases:
- LAG - I know I've seen other posts on this and I know its an issue. Please fix lag and general combat responsiveness. I think it's a major detractor from the game
- BUILDS - I've seen a lot of back and forth opinion on this one. I feel like there should be an easy way to have multiple builds for a character to quickly switch between. I want to run a main character and quickly change between activities (ie. tanking for a dungeon, DPS for open world, PVP, etc..). Having to respec every time that I want to change activities is a drag. Having to switch characters makes me feel like I have to choose which character I have to choose for each activity rather than being able to stick to a single character.
- NPCs/Creatures - Seem somewhat stale across zones. I understand that changing this could be lore breaking but I would like to know if there are options to make larger and more creative creatures in the world.
- Armor and weapons - The current art for wearable items is pretty dull. I have seen some motifs lately that are slowly addressing this. My guess is that this is a strategy by the company to keep us coming back for newer gear as well as purchasing items in the store. Even costumes seem somewhat dull and boring in the store. I would like to see much more variation in gear.
- DYES - Are horrible. In my opinion, the dye color compared to how it looks on the gear can have huge variation. Of course lighting has some factor in this as well as material type but I feel like the dye system just doesn't function well. Also, I hate the store and crate based dye packs. Purchased dyes should be added to the dye list and not locked to a set.
- Dungeons/delves - Are getting a bit predictable on design. There are a few that stray from the norm but most are very linear. I would love to see more open (non-instanced) and deeper designed dungeons that can really get you turned around and maybe finding hidden doors or secret levers. Pantheon is coming out with a perception system that sounds interesting, I would love to see something similar.
- Combat - Having only 5 abilities (yes, I know you can weapon swap) leads to very repetitive combat. I would love to see more ability slots, perhaps with longer cooldowns, to be used for situational responses. I would also love to see more slots for quickly choosing potions, mementos, pets, etc.... I understand that there are limitations due to the game being played on consoles but there are creative ways around those limitations. I would also like to see a combo system to allow more collaborative play between players. The Synergy system is broken, IMO, and needs to be changed or improved upon.
- Dynamic events - We need more of these and more variation. This adds excitement and an unpredictable element to gameplay. The game is pretty static right now. Find a way to make the world feel more dynamic.
- Questing - I actually enjoy the questing system in this game so I would change much. Kudos to the team on this one.
- Additional Activities - Are needed. Please add some other fun activities to the game. This could be fishing contests, non-combat pet fighting, in-game card game or something just for fun to pass the time. Casino type items (not loot based), just gold based maybe.

I understand what you are getting at. The only issue I have is that with the vast amounts of skill points you can earn, your character can have a vast knowledge of skills, but the limitations of the system only allows for 12 skills at a time. A quick way to swap out skill loadouts while not in combat would keep the "individual" aspect but still allow some quick variations in your playstyle.
Maybe the skills I want to use while Questing or soulstone farming, is not what I would want to use while in Cyrodiil.

You have made some great points. Hope you like my feedback that you asked for. Or did I mess up and rambled on for what you didn't ask?ESO is my go-to MMO right now so this is not an "Everyone should leave ESO" post. I love the game and hope to be playing for a long time. Same for me. I did try other MMOs and I always come back to ESO
However, there are few items that are still keeping me open to switching to other MMOs. I am curios to see the feedback to my thoughts below and if the user population is in agreement or not to these features/changes that I am hoping to see if future releases: I will give you my feed back
- LAG - I know I've seen other posts on this and I know its an issue. Please fix lag and general combat responsiveness. I think it's a major detractor from the game I left because of this. It is better now Still not perfect but since I only play PvE it' is acceptable for me, for now.
Having to switch characters makes me feel like I have to choose which character I have to choose for each activity rather than being able to stick to a single character.I don't know much about other MMOs but what I see, it is worse than what ESO has. Of course it can improve. Not sure what game system is great for you to have that will not upset others.
- NPCs/Creatures - Seem somewhat stale across zones. I understand that changing this could be lore breaking but I would like to know if there are options to make larger and more creative creatures in the world.I think it's ok. What would you actually want added?
- Armor and weapons - The current art for wearable items is pretty dull. I have seen some motifs lately that are slowly addressing this. My guess is that this is a strategy by the company to keep us coming back for newer gear as well as purchasing items in the store. Even costumes seem somewhat dull and boring in the store. I would like to see much more variation in gear. That would be nice. Sadly it's more about the getting our money instead of having fun. For me, this is a I don't give a crap. Why? Because each change slot or what ever it is called is one use to one character. It's not account bound but character bound. So I don't even bother. Not sure if that is what you are talking about. If it is, if it was account bound, then I would be more interested so for now, I can't really say because I just ignore the fashion aspect of ESO
- DYES - Are horrible. In my opinion, the dye color compared to how it looks on the gear can have huge variation. I would also like to see a combo system to allow more collaborative play between players. The Synergy system is broken, IMO, and needs to be changed or improved upon. This is why I left ESO a few times as well as other reasons. Thing is, every other MMO I see have only 5 skills. WTF? So I come back to ESO, there is lag, so I left ESO again. Now that lag is better for me, may as well stay since the other alternatives are not any better. And these are just PC only with no controller and you still only have 5 slots/buttons to use. What games do you know that have more than 5 buttons to use for attacking/spell casting?
- Dynamic events - We need more of these and more variation. This adds excitement and an unpredictable element to gameplay. The game is pretty static right now. Find a way to make the world feel more dynamic.Sorry I dont understand you at all here. What more variation? As for unpredictable element, isn't that like in any game? You die in the beginning because everything is new, but once doing it over and over again, you see how the zero's and one's work or how the game is programmed. If Zenimax adds something new, you will find it predictable in a few hours, days or weeks. So nothing will ever change unless you want constant change. That can be a bad thing.

@JumpmanLane For CP you can use Champion Point Respec addon. Let’s you set different profile templates and switch quickly between them, still charging the 3k ofc.
In terms of OPs post, I only really agree on the points around lag, questing and dynamic events (thinking more along the line of world events that require lots of players and are active for a limited time.
Regarding the other points, I think the builds and gear there’s a fair amount of choices out there for players to use and you can get all dungeons and trials done with any creative selections as long as your not going too left field. Crafting gear also has a strong place in the game which is good to see.
For outfits and motifs I think this has gotten 100% better in the last year with the outfit system and transmog, it’s especially friendly in the sense that dyes and styles learned on 1 alt carry over to another. I also think dyes and styles are really good too if you have the achievements, also the motifs you get from BGs are the best out there IMO
Combat for me is much better than I’ve played in other mmos, yes your restricted to less skills overall and that’s unlikely to change as its mainly done to work on consoles, but it’s very fluid feeling and fast paced. Adding more skills wouldn’t enhance this for me. There’s never a second In combat where I’m not having to think about the next skill to cast. Yes it can get repetitive but that’s a rotation for you and exists in every game.
My one gripe with the game now is overland in general is so disproportionate between new and old players. Starting as a total newbie I imagine it can be tough and world bosses etc are unkillable however even a newbie with CP from a fully levelled alt is very easy. One Tam was a great update for the game but losing the difficult areas was definitely something I miss.
