Using a keyboard on PS4

So, I attached a wireless keyboard and it works outside of the game fine.

However, when I log in ESO, only my controller works. I want to use the controller for gameplay and the keyboard for chat.

Is that somehow possible? Like is there some button I'm missing that I'm supposed to press to activate the keyboard?

    U can use keyboard for chat. Just hit "enter" before typing your message. however, that is only it.
    You cannot use it for game play.
    In light, there is darkness.

    I use a wireless keyboard for ESO chat on PS4, works great, but you can only use it to type in the chat box, either from social-text chat or just pressing enter works.

    I'm sure you've tried that, maybe go buy a cheap keyboard from Argos or whatever you have near you and try that, easy to return if it doesn't work.

    Man, I cant imagine playing an MMO without a keyboard.

    3rd party devices that emulate a controller like a xim but they are a bit of money
