For performance improvement and consistency
Right now after constant disconnects, stuttering and lag idk what I can do it's just not getting any better
I'd give up anything a this point just to be able to play without the crap that's going on now :/
Aussie lag is real!

    Make the game resolution 600x800.
    Lowest setting graphics.
    No sounds.
    Youll have performance and consistency.
    Or invent tachyon communication.

regardless of if it would help the game run better or not i would sacrifice some of the NPC dialogue that happens far to often in certain areas. or sacrifice pvp

Nothing. Aside from a few areas with frame rate drops, performance on my end is pretty solid. I'll take a couple of drops over giving anything up.

I don't know anyone named Yu, so I have no idea what he or she would sacrifice.

I would give up my appearance to other players. I would give up other players being able to see my pets. I would give up other players being able to see my skill effects.

I played another MMO (an older one) that allowed players to hide various things to help reduce stress on their systems. The system was setup so that an individual player's stuff would remain visible but those of other players would disappear from sight. Even other players not in the same group could be hidden from view. It was even possible to set it so that one wouldn't see all the flashy outfits and armor on other players but rather see a set of simple basic gear.

It was actually interesting to play a tank when the mobs were hidden from view. Thankfully, that game had some AOE taunt skills and one player would pull the mobs to the tank. So careful timing to hit the right skills when that player came in meant that mobs didn't need to be seen.

But I doubt anything like that could happen here. ESO is built around visual cues which means needing to see all this stuff at the expense of system resources.

sacrifice denotes accepting a negative proposition in the expectation of a net positive reward.

Personally i would sacrifice nothing as what you are asking is the foundation of a solid gaming experience. If we become complacent and allow the company to remove features or systems simply to provide what we have already paid for, we are reinforcing the behavior that got us all here in the first place.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

I agree with what you are saying wholeheartedly but frustration and lack of hope from zos has got to me but I didn't want a post saying " give us what we paid for "

This is not a question for us to answer. The game, and it's systems, should perform to minimal standards that Zos has determined.

Of course the game launched in a state many of us considered an embarrassing mess. While there have been improvements since then there is much that Zos has been either unable or unwilling to work on such as Cyrodiil's performance and the year long GF issues that Zos surprisingly thought was fixed despite the numerous threads to the contrary.

Especially that last point, Zos seems to be out of touch with the performance of the game based on the information in the thread @ZOS_RichLambert created today.

Roll back the window lighting effect patch. That was when a lot of these performance issues began to become more substantial. They thought removing wildlife in Cyrodiil would help but it didn't. Light shining through windows is pretty and all but if its causing performance issues then it needs to go.

I would totally sacrifice Cyrodiil, surely the removal of a handful of servers would allow them to redistribute resources elsewhere.

I'd sacrifice every player complaining in bad faith.
Would be far less people, far less lag, and a far, far, far less toxic and depressing community ;)
