So ive been considering re-arming my favorite character on eso to start VMA ive done normal but not vet. So my plan was to study and learn the mechs more and then after enough runs, try and get the achievment. So how hard is it really?
It’s getting easier for players every patch ... due to the CP cap going up 30 every patch.
That said, vMA is a steep climb in difficulty versus normal. Be prepared to die a lot on your first clear.
Of course, liberal use of the sigils and having a little bit of luck with the poison plant spawns on Stage 7 goes a long way to getting your Flawless run ...

It is not hard, but it does take practice. My best advise is to record the runs if you are able and see where the spawns are and anything that is causing trouble for you. If not just learn how to get through each stage with no deaths and eventually the only threat you will have is RNG. Ask around, many will tell you about stage 7 and the RNG mushroom spawns.
It takes practice and good area awareness to avoid damage and handle mechanics well. Do not hesitate to use the sigils as you are not going for a score if you are working on your first clear.
Of course you are asking about a no death run. You will need to get to where you can clear vet to begin with and probably clear it pretty decent. Again, use Sigils.
I would suggest looking at guilds and videos for each arena to help you figure out how to overcome challenges you face.
If you can get Stormproof, you can get flawless. Just takes a bit of practice and at first a bit of luck. Build a bit more tanky if you are going for flawless. Contrary to popular belief there aren’t many hard DPS checks in vMA. Use Sigils liberally if you are going for Flawless. Better to have the boost and not need it, than to need the boost and not have it. Don’t worry about score, or time. Take 5 minute breaks between rounds, make sure your food, gear, and weapons are all good to go. Take note of what kills you. A lot of tough waves can be trivialized by preemptively placing yourself on the shield Sigil. Just takes again a little practice.
I don’t have Flawless. Just here to bring leaderboard score averages down. Come back when you got Vet down good.
When I get to the seventh round no death, my hands are sweating and shaking. You know it’s coming. Something stupids gonna happen and BLAM. There goes that one.
It'll seem hard for awhile, keep practicing. When you die in a particular round, try a different positioning/strategy for that round until you find what works every time. If you die because you're trying to out-dps the mechanics, try obeying the mechanics. Shrug it off when poison RNG kills you in 7 and try again.
