Cheap PVE Stamsorc build

Since I had to retire my stamsorc from the world of pvp (thanks Murkmire) I was thinking of turning it into a stam dps for pve. However I don't want to start grinding for endgame gear. I only have access to maelstrom weapons.

What gear should I wear? Hundings+automaton+maelstrom bow? Are maelstrom 2w any good?

Add stormfist to that with some hundings weapons for frontbar and I think you should be fine

Anything Maelstrom isnt "cheap".

Hundings, Automatons, Stormfist. You could swap Hundings with Spriggans.

2x stormfist, 5x hundings body, 5x briarheart dw/jewellery, vma bow backbar is really solid starter. Can craft and purchase.

You want rhe briarheart on your frontbar cause you can retain the buff on your baclbar as opposed to losing the hundings 4/5 piece bonus everytime you switch.

Eventually, If you could be bothered, replace the hundings body with relequen then replace the briarheart with advancing yekoda if you ever do more pve and you will be bis.

If you just run the storm/hund/briar setup you will still be good for all content.

Want cheap? Use toothrow and veiled heritance, no need to use expensive pots and veiled heritance jewelery is much cheaper then briar heart. Weapons are too. save some trans stones too, use a chest piece of veiled heritance and one of the jewelry for toothrow.

Pardon the ignorance but what is VO?

Edit: nevermind, vicious ophidian. Yes, it's a great set but I would have to farm weapons and jewellery. I actually have automaton jewellery and weapons already. Would that be OK with hundings? Should I drop poison injection in that case since it's not physical damage?

i would do sormfist, vma bow, relequen, and ravenger. 2h and just use the phsijic light attack skill. you should pull atleast over 40k dps

Ravager sounds a very good alternative to automaton. Is it expensive? I shouldn't think so since it's a cyrodiil set.

If you have a few buddies, go to hrc and cr and farm relequen body pieces and advancing yokeda rest. If you dont feel confident in trials or just want something quick and dirty, hundings and briar/automaton would be your best friends. Since you pvped a bit, perhaps hundings and ravager if you are fine with the low proc rate

Stormfist with Hunding's/Automaton and Spriggan's/Briarheart/Automaton(if you want Hunding's and Auto) with a vMA bow backbar. If you want, you can run some normal Craglorn trials (normal AA is the easiest), you can get Vicious Ophidian armor and jewels and pair that set with Hunding's or Automaton.

They're both pretty similar. Briarheart slightly beats out Hundings if you're using BH weapons vs Hundings weapons, But using Hundings on the body will beat out Briarheart.

Don’t use ravager for pve dps. As others have mentioned briarheart and hundings with vMA bow is the way to go. You can buy blue briarheart jewelry which would be fine for now. Armor pieces aren’t that bad. And then just go get two of the unique daggers from the quest in wrothgar. Then you’ll have the second best setup.

Im capping out at about 47k in relquen/briar, in relequen/AY its about 50k on my stam DK.

Gloves - Relequen, Medium, Divines, Stamina

Necklace - Automaton, Robust, Weapon Damage
Ring - Automaton, Bloodthirsty, Weapon Damage

At 25-30% health, start using executioner, only keep up endless hail, poison injection, rearming trap and hurricane. You get rid of caltrops to add an extra executioner.

You may need to add a heavy attack every other rotation, do it when you first swap to your greatsword bar, that way you heavy attack with all of your DoTs up.

I parse roughly 37k without fracture being applied and 43k with fracture.

To avoid the low proc rate of Ravager I use Rapid Strikes as spammable.

hundings body
veiled weapons/jewellery (will need to transmute)
vMA bow

All body medium divines, all weapons infused, jewellery 1x blood 2x infused
Enchants, all stam body, all weapon damage jewellery, poison/absorb stam front weapons, weapon damage back
mundus = lover
food = blue max health/stam (sustain should be fine).

Skills being:
FB: Hurricane, Rending, FLEX, Bound Armor, Rearming trap, Flawless Dawny
BB: Poison Inject, Razor Caltrops, Endless Hail, Bound Armor, Rearming Trap, Ballista/Storm Atro

Flex can either be another FG ability (for passive weapon damage), surge for healing, vigor for healing, shrouded daggers for cleave, steel nado for execute, dark deal for group buff & sustain.

Rota is a nice easy one (don't compare to other classes as sorc is the only one that doesnt have solo major resistance debuffs)
Trap > la > swap
Hail > la > Trops > la > PI > swap
la > 7x skills > repeat

Skills consisting of Rending Slashes (Spammable), Hurricane, Ult

Can also simplify and just cast Hurricane once every second rota.

only thing you would want to change in this build to go 'meta' is swap hundings for relequen & optionally swap stormfist for velidreth.

@Amorpho , if you need Briarheart weapons, then keep in mind that daggers are freely available from a side quest (need transmutation though).

Briarheart daggers, 10 minutes to run a quest, if you have two characters that’s wrapped up in 20 minutes... then you choose either 3 briarheart body (10 minutes guild store searching) or chest farming the jewels which would take an afternoon even with average rng.. just over half an hour for a full set ain’t bad if you choose to go 3 body..
