Let's list off abilities which should scale of Netch's Touch, but currently do not.

Netch's Touch should by all means be the best set for the niche of shock-focused characters, but as it stands, the list of things which scale off of its set bonus are simply to sporadic for anyone to recommend it. Since ESO forums do not have a feed back category, I thought we'd list it off here, and hope the devs see it. Here's a list of what I think should scale off of Netch's Touch's set bonus, including the five piece bonus, but as far as I'm aware, currently does not:

Daedric Summoning abilities for the Sorcerer class
Shock Staff light and heavy attacks
Shock Damage enchantments on weapons

please add anything else which you are aware of

The only thing that maybe ought to scale on your list is the lightning light and heavy attacks. The rest scale with other things, like pets are just max magic and enchantments have a set amount of damage they do, regardless of your stats, only get improved by percentage amps.

As far as I am aware shock staff LA/HA totally did scale of it (same as fire scale with sun, resto with war maiden, phys weapons with automaton and frost staff with that frost set i dont remember)

And thats it as Lightspeedflashb14_ESO said. Damage enchantmens are already set in stone damage that doesnt scale with stats like abilities and pets scale only with max magicka not spell damage. You may think it should, but thats simply the intended design. No amount of spell power coming from any set in the game is gonna affect these.

lightning staff light/heavy attacks are affected by netch. in fact, this is the primary reason it was a good set back in the petsorc heavy attack days. same with spider cultist.

daedric summoning abilities, which i assume you mean pets, are only affected by max magicka, not spell power, and thus netch or any other spell power set wouldnt affect them.

shock and other damage glyphs do not scale with anything except CP and straight damage modifiers, like berserk.

you'd need to present an argument why netch should be an exception to these established rules.

Well apparently my lightning staff heavy attack Pet Sorc wearing Netch's Touch and Spider Cultist is stuck in the past then ...

The familiar is lightning damage, not magic.

Just tested this now on PC-NA vs mobs and it looks like the 5 piece bonus of Netch's Touch does not affect the Shock Staff LA/HA as well as enchants.

Light Attack = 1816 without, 1813 with
Shock Pulse (HA) = 2805 without, 2800 with
Shock Enchant = 2686 without, 2686 with
Magicka = 36469
Spell Damage = 1485

Tested by equipping/unequipping a Sash of Netch's Touch enchanted with health so that it doesn't affect tooltips or damage done.

Edit: Retested with wearing a non-set sash for the no-Netch test (forgot to do this for the initial results which showed a difference).

Oops! I thought I did (I made a light sash just for this purpose) but redoing the test this morning shows I must have forgot to equip it for the no-netch test. Re-equipping the sash gives me almost identical numbers for both tests (fixed in the above post).

Then you ought to be asking to have the 5 piece be a percentage boost to lightning damage only, that way it applys to all the damage you want.

It specifically says "shock damage abilities". That would not apply to light/heavy attacks and enchants. It does make sense that it should work for shock damage pets, but TIL they scale off magicka only.

If they did make it scale all shock damage, instead of abilities, they should probably make the same change to silks of the sun, war maiden, and ysgramor's birthright, and the other ability-buff sets.

Though soulshine is the same but for channeled abilties, and I've seen reports that it buffs lightning/resto heavy attacks. If that's correct, then they're inconsistent on whether a heavy attack counts as an ability.

Long ago I thought crystal frag counted under this damage but I was a noob and not reading carefully I suppose. Would be great if it did though. Certainly would have saved some farming time XDDD
