About Gifting Crown Items

It is my understanding that you can't directly gift Crowns to someone nor can you gift houses, at least that is what everyone was telling me in game last night. Is this correct?

If so, why not? I wanted that Snowglobe house so bad and busted my hump to earn enough gold in game to buy it (figured since the Witch's Cottage could be purchased with gold then there was no reason this one should not be also) but recently lost my job so there is no way on Earth I can spend money on Crowns right now and I don't have enough Crowns left, I've only got 2,055. So I thought I'd see if I could buy Crowns from someone with gold in the game but was told you can't gift Crowns. Ok, then I thought how about someone gift the house to me and I'll give you all the gold I have now and make payments on the balance in the difference in the gold I have vs the going rate of the crowns till I've paid for the house in full. And I was told you can't gift houses.

Really ZOS? Ugh, is there NO way to do this?

Per sure you actually can't gift houses but other things yes.

Do crown items gifted from the housing store menu count (i.e. single furnishing items from the menu in housing)? Or only ones on the actual crown store?

It will probably be available at another time ... when you’re (in real life) at a better financial position.

I'd imagine it will be available next year for the New Life Festival again but it's frustrating to have to wait a whole year just because I'm short a lousy 2,400 crowns. I was going to make that little house my happy place, but alas.
