    No need to call anyone a liar. There are 625 people on the forum with 5 year forum badges. The game has not been out for five years. Each one represents a likely beta player. If every one of them checks into this thread, it will be a long thread.

    Since beta on EU PC, but I did take 18 months off post-Morrowind as I thought they really messed the game up. My interest is very much on the wane again now, seems every patch makes the game worse in terms of quality, and reduces the fun factor somewhat.

    I use it, too. Might sound "elitist" but I like that they never released another monkey pet. It makes the beta players, who are undoubtedly the longest (and likely most dedicated) players in the game, easily identifiable. Not so much as a status symbol, but as a reminder that there are some very long term players in the game.

    Same for the other unique pets from the early days, like the Ice Wraith. Not so much the senche, which did get quite diluted.

    If we count the beta (which some people are doing): November 13th, 2013 - Present.

    If we aren't counting the beta: April 2nd, 2014 - Present (I was away for the first 3 days of Imperial Edition preorder bonus).

    I still refer to daily mount training on new characters as "I need to feed my pony...."

    I would wager there are others like myself who due to the long gap forgot their original account information and just created a new one.

    Ah yes the naked dance parties. I'd rather forget those along with the multi-player pushup trains.
