I was thinking about nail polish for my toons. But we don´t have that right now.
The hands and feet of my ladies look beautiful and I think they look even more beautiful if we can have nail polish for them!!!
@ZOS can you implement nail polish?
Would be awesome!
@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_KaiSchober and anyone else with you who can make it possible!!

and to all the players: what are your thoughts?
I know we have many issues, but in my opinion nothing speaks against some morre beautiful make-up for our toons!

At first I was thinking the request was a little ridiculous but really it wouldn’t hurt anything plus give people more options to dress their Barbie doll.

    Why not.

It would show up in the gambling boxes though and that stuff always irritates me.
"And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days. The fact that the word "monetized" exists points to the heart of the issue for us: We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all."

I care a lot about cosmetics. I love costumes, adornments, tattoos, hats and all thnigs that could be put on. But a nail polish? It is lore friendly, and it is a nice detail, but... Do we ever see our character's hands that close?

Interesting idea, but I have one problem.

We have small detail facial customization that is already possible, yet I feel that no one sees that stuff. Not unless they get right up close and stare. Third person perspective and the constant running pretty much makes is certain that almost no detail features of the character will be noticed, unless they stop to take notice. That usually requires special panning of the camera, or switching to first person.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not suggesting that it is a waste of time to have this in the game. I am questioning how many people, other than the player who owns the character, would notice. That one person might be enough.

@myskyrim26 probably not, but that is not the point, we see a lot of details only at login, and at least there I wanna see it

@lordrichter like above, but it is anyway the point, I am the only person who sees most of homes inside, but I do have them, and I do like it! It is not necessary to run in any other armourstyle then the 9 blue ones you can find in the basegame, but we do have already now an ridiculous amount and possibilities to style our chars.
Most of my ladies have sandals or shoes where you see their toes, and gloves where you see their nails, and therefor I want nail polish!
Love and peace to all of you!

@lordrichter, I've played other games that included this level of detail. I want to say that it was a feature in Saints Row 2, and that was years ago. But, that game also had a rather ludicrously extensive character customization system, so maybe not the best example.

There kind of is already that detail change of the hand nails - when you're a vampire and all down on stage 4, your nails become black, while they're normal on stage 1.
So that detail modification probably should be possible. Whether it will get implemented, that's another question.

I am all for extensive character customization. The more options, the better. My main problem was when I thought about the person who puts on nail polish or eye lashes or some small detail, and then runs out into the world expecting people to notice. I doubt most players notice anything more than sex and how flashy the attire is. That is pretty much all they will assess about the character in the fraction of a second they run by, at a camera distance of 10 meters, or more.

@lordrichter well mostly you think nobody notices, but the every nowandthen you get compliments while being in the base, doing your dailies where you get a whisper like "awesome" or "well done"
or lately while we were waiting in SO for a player who had to relog, where others took a closer look, and then start asking in discord how I get my ladies looking that good, when look them up that close!
so yeah, it pays off, though moct of the time, I do it just for myself.

I will accept the possibility. I know that there are times when someone will run about 10 meters past me, stop briefly, then continue on. That would about match up with where the camera closeup is on my character at the time. This happens so rarely that it took me a while to realize what was happening, and I only put 2 and 2 together because that is what I do when I want to see another character more closely as I go past.

Each character is born with black underwear painted right on the body. No need for actual underwear. Very handy and reduces the laundry load.

I am actually somewhat surprised that this paint did not turn out to be something that could be colored at the dye station.

Actually more details for character customization overall is needed. The models are starting to look pretty old, and the skin textures are not good. The human eyes have a painted-on doll-like look to them.

Perhaps they could hire an outside artist to help with hair, face paint and ornaments because the current choices are egregious. It looks like they were designed under protest by someone who wanted to get it over with.

P.S. and why can't I dye my hair!?

Our guild meets up at the Guild Hall for invites to our evening events. I always walk around in first person and check out people's character designs. Quite often I message compliments to them if they really put some work into making it just right. If someone puts in the work, I want them to know it gets noticed = )

I'd be very happy with being able to dye our hair, but only as long as it is lore friendly. No pink, or blue, or anything unnatural.

That lipstick was awful. It looked like it was designed in MS Paint with basic colors. Get someone who cares to do cosmetics. If you build it they will come (and buy).

Nope it's way more fun than Sims. B) But if they're charging money for houses, furnishings and cosmetics they should do it right. People who aren't interested in this aspect of the game can go merrily on their way, but those who are messing around with their virtual home and characters and Giving Them Money would like more choices.

And if a broke-down old program like Second Life has face textures for purchase that look like this:

I firmly believe Zeni can up their game.
