In Brief, Thoughts on Clockwork City Event

Event wasn't tedious. Did WBs on 8 characters daily. And the delves on 2 characters. I avoided doing the scavenging dailies as resource nodes are picked clean most of the time. Resource nodes are pretty rare to begin with and ZoS neglected to reduce the re-spawn rates during the event.

Yeah sad to say worse event ever since beta for me, i like to farm dbl node events, there are none. I also do the WB for the tickets and that's it. The zone is just too gloomy for me and small for farming.

It was fun enough. I did the same thing with CWC as I did with Witches: picked a delve and ran it every day on my main. I've got two feathers, plus 12 tickets, will buy the third feather as soon as the Undaunted event starts, and get ready for New Life.

DEFINITELY buying the Snow Globe house! Previewed it when I was in Eastmarch yesterday - I don't care what it costs, it's mine. From me to me, for my birthday in a couple of weeks!

I run these pretty much every day anyways so it was not really a change of pace other than there were people there so I didn't have to solo WBs lol.

I spent 5 minutes each day doing the Clockwork daily required. Always did the delve daily and it took no time at all. It was so easy.

Maybe just bad timing for me. I went in to farm nodes. Welp that was a no go .

I have very mixed feelings about this event. In general i don´t like that we get an event spam to keep us busy. Every event is only grind-based. There is nothing special for the players. Nothing is decorated, no special things happen etc.. Well its nice for example to have smth like double drop but its only this. And especially this event made lots of ppl more aggressive than i have ever seen in cyrodiil.. So after lot of events i am considering to have a break from ESO. I really dont know if the answer to this is to bring even more events.
On the other side i enjoyed the event. I got a lot of mats for gear upgrading, i enjoyed playing through CWC which was really enjoyable. I got my CWC house cheaper etc.. and i enjoyed that the zone was crowded while questing. Also i have to say, well yes the nodes were rare, but not that rare. Often while waiting for dungeon finder, instead of just standing around i went to CWC with my Healer (a very slow char ofc) and was still able to get a lot of nodes.
Meanwhile it´s kinda normal for me to see frustrated ppl in events. I think thats just the nature of ESO Events. Ppl are not happier after events. And that won´t change with event spam. Especially when the next event is only 3 days after the last one. Ofc everyone is free to do what he wants to do, but who wants to miss the rewards? Probably i wont even have time to furnish my new home. GG?

I didn't mind it. I see it as a "mini-event" if were going to have one of these every month or so, you can't argue with them being small. I did it enough to get 2 feather, lost interest after that. still did it on a few of my crafter toons that I hadn't leveled JC with yet...I got plenty of rings from the double daily rewards to level stuff with.

It also inspired me to finish the quest line on a few other toons, so I can't say it wasn't beneficial. However, moving forward I'd highly recommend that they increase the spawn rate drastically for quest based items in the zone. Simple as that. or make each node per person, instead of like regular nodes, that way people can do the quests consistently. They can reduce the amount of spawns if they do that, and it would still probably result in a more positive experience.

Outside of that, I didn't mind it. got another feather, finished a few sets I was lacking (im a collector), and got some decent mats, made some gold....I'm not going to argue. better then no event. I think if they're concept is to bring people back to some of the older content, it's not a bad idea...if they could fix the spawn rates of things. Oh yeah, and either NO loot on bosses for the events, or loot for everyone. fix those 2 things, and it would be fine. perfect way to liven up a dead zone.

You just need to do one quest a day for the tickets. the apostle daily were fast especially if they were in the evergloam

Yep. I also had two characters eligible for Bursar of Tributes quests, and had been saving up items for him for a long time. So I actually did a lot more than the once-per-day minimum.

Best part was standing around with 50 other people waiting for a world boss to spawn, passing out Jubilee cake and dancing the Khajiit dance, pressing the X button to activate unused synergies, and reading zone chat about why Argonians have boobs if they are reptiles and something about somebody's mom that I forgot.

Just goes to show that it's all about attitude! You can make it fun (like you did) or you can make it a grind like a lot of people in this thread. Stay positive and have fun!!

Just another boring and overcrowded event. Forced competition over resources and boring boss battles that last a whopping 2s.

I skipped many days just because of how unrewarding it felt. Got my feather, got some extra tickets so can avoid the steaming pile of garbage that is the Undaunted event.

    Decorations aren't going to happen.

To avoid the risk of permanently corrupting original data, the game would have to patch in new versions of all decorated areas, then patch them back out.

That's fine for a small browser or mobile app with only a few maps; an hour or so upkeep both ways. But for a game this size, that could mean downloading files larger than the quarterly DLC updates every few weeks during event seasons.

This is also why the event pavilions aren't patched out when they're not in use. Those new maps were permanently included when we already had large updates to download.

This was one of those events that brought out the worst in people. Creating PvP in PvE zones is poor design.

Well besides that it is possible like Black Desert shows us (there were even seasons like winter, summer etc... and the whole map changed instantly without reloading.) i dont need especcially this, but it would be nice to see at least smth. May it be a special quest or a fun event for the players on a different island... there are hundreds of possibilities. It´s just that in this game every event is only grind based. And events are spam meanwhile. Ppl get greedy over rewards with no counterweight.
