How well does the High-Collared Coin Ball Gown dye?

I'm considering picking up the High-Collared Coin Ball Gown whilst it is available again (despite what looks like a hole in the bustle mesh?!?!), but keep waffling because if the costume doesn't dye well it will be a total waste of Crowns... I've been down that path before (lookin' at you, stupid Jarl’s Deluxe Moot Regalia!) and don't want to get burned again.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

    The golden plates that line the bust part don’t dye, but everything else does, and it dyes well.

    However even matte dyes will appear to have a somewhat silken shine
