Which DLCs should I get?

  • Imperial City;
  • Orsinium;
  • Thieves Guild;
  • Dark Brotherhood;
  • Shadow of the Hist;
  • Horns of the Reach;
  • Clockwork City;
  • Dragon Bones;
  • Wolfhunter;
  • Murkmire.

The ones that have a strikethrough I already have thanks to the game's special edition and the fact that ZOS made Murkmire available to anyone who logged in at least once a day through November. So, I'm wondering which other DLC is worth purchasing? I can only buy one. I'm looking for something that adds a new area and provides a great deal of story and content. Orsinium alone kept me busy for two weeks!

    For story and content the clear candidate is Clockwork City. The rest of those still available to you are just group dungeon content.
    Life is a ride, like days in a train, cities rush by, like ghosts in the night.
    The rhythm of wheels, time fades away, stations of a journey, destination unknown.

    Clockwork City is the only zone DLC you’ve listed there. The others are all dungeon DLC, which come with 2 dungeons (each have their respective quest but other than that there’s no more questing or stories as such).

    Some of the achievements for the dungeon DLCs may take longer to get and thus, make the DLC take longer to complete in its entirety, but if you’re a casual player who enjoys storylines, questing, discovery etc and not someone who cares about challenges, BiS and dps then I’d seriously recommend Clockwork City over the others by a significant margin.

    Clockwork, as the other 4 are just dungeons

    Would say Orsinium hands down, but since you have that Clockwork out of those without question. I enjoyed cwc but the others are just meh at best
