I can't seem to recall we ever standing on moving objects and we move as the object move, is this an engine restriction?
All transportations （ships, carts, that morrowind giant bug） in ESO are just teleportations, which kinda make me sad

There's a quest where you're required to fight pirates and shoot sea monsters from the deck of a moving ship. I don't know if this is what you had in mind.0 -

Abigail✭✭✭✭✭It's in the AD series of quests, a transitional quest between Grahtwood and Greenshade (I think) ... been a long time since I did it.0

The quest is in Greenshade, not far from Woodhearth. It's used for the sea elf attack near the grotto north of there.

✭✭Everquest back in 2000 had lots of moving objects, including boats to travel between continents. Those were quite buggy though and eventually replaced by transportation hubs.0 -
Maulclaw✭✭✭It can't be an engine's limitation. If what I heard is true... if ZOS truly based their engine on the Hero Engine, then it should be possible. SWTOR did it and they had the same engine.2 -
Gatviper✭✭✭✭I've jumped on mobs like crocodiles or big bugs occasionally, but they usually moved out from under me, while I landed on the ground. Or it might have been me sliding down from them, seen the same happening if you happen to land on a roof of a house somewhere, you just slide down ("you're not supposed to be here").Life is a ride, like days in a train, cities rush by, like ghosts in the night.

✭Not likely , game is not capable of consistently handling that...we “slide” on solid surfaces to much for me to believe they could code the free moving interaction between a player and a cart etc. Players would most likely get trapped inside a mobile prison cell0
