No Marksman's melee weapons? Why?

obviously the set is directed towards bow, but the 4/5 both offer benefits to melee as well. why wouldn't they put out melee weapons for the set?

not sure, are you agreeing with me? because that's my point...if I use a Marksman's bow and have the 5 piece, I would be better off swapping out a Marksman's 2 hander (if it existed) for the 4 + 5 piece bonus because it is better than using another random piece for the 2 piece bonus.0 -

ZOS seems to have moved away from "Smart Loot" with newer sets, probably because of people whining about not having a Viper bow or a Marksman 2hander. I mean, you never know, somebody could really really want to back bar that Soldier of Anguish Resto Staff even though you'd think its useless for proccing the set bonus...0 -

✭If you are wanting the Cost Reduction bonus, you could use Vicious Ophidian. Although the 3 piece is slayer it grants weapon damage with the 5 piece, along with sustain and expedition.PS NA

Smart loot is fine for sets that apply... This set however works well with melee and bow for all five bonuses and especially good for bow /melee builds..it should not have been flagged for"smart loot"1 -
