Should I switch from a stamdk to a stamblade for pve dps?

I never played Nightblade and I decided to read up on it a bit, and it looks it's better for DPS than stamdk, and I wanted to start a character. I can always do both, but after having some troubles in the past I put a lot of effort into my stamdk, and I managed to get him to a better spot, it would be kind of a waste to just throw it all away in favor of a different character. Not to mention, that leveling has become tedious after so many characters. ANd I'll need to do the same quests and level up to level 50 again, and after that, I'm not sure if I'll be boosted to my main's CP level or I'll have to level cp all over again. What kind of advantages does a stamNB has over a stamDK?

If you want to Min/Max DPS and don't really mind changing characters, yes, you should. DKs are at the bottom of the DPS chain right now.
I, for example, only play my stamplar because of all the time I invested in this character(2400 hours). I am aware that, by doing so, I won't have the highest DPS in the group.
    The Eon Pokémon.

The difference in max DPS between all stamina builds in PvE is around 2K now. I have seen StamDKs hit 65k+ this patch. If you want the absolute max DPS possible then sure. Also, if you cant get 3 bow procs per rotation, Stam NBs will do less DPS than StamDKs.

And for PvP, should I use a stamwarden or Stamnb?

@susmitds , that's raid-buffed and in perfect conditions. NBs carry too many raid buffs in their own toolkit to compare self-buffed, and in a raid, can't get 100% of uptime on all that, so they're still ahead with all other things equal.

Nightblade seems to have a pretty steep learning curve. I've spent probably dozens of hours on Nightblades to get something close to vet trial DPS.

I just dusted off my DK last week after a couple years of gathering dust. I didn't much like the tank gameplay and left it in the old tanking gear, so after half an hour of outfitting and gearing up with stamina gear, then another half hour of practice I was pleased to see self buffed DPS within 10% of my Stamblade. Then with group buffs the DPS was within 5% of the Stamblade and soooo much easier to maintain consistency.

I'd say play with both and see which you like better. Unless you're doing some serious score runs for trials, it doesn't really matter what class you decide to play.
I've had a lot of fun testing out all the classes both mag and stam as a dd, so I say level up a character and test how you like it.

Self buffed on a 6m I've had 50k out of a DK, 56k out of a nightblade. But you also have to think that nightblades have 8% damage from minor beserk, 100% uptime on fracture, minor savagery giving critical, 10% crit hit damage. DK will also have all of this in a trail (apart from the crit hit damage).

Buffed with a healer to sort of make parses equal NB was only ahead by 1k, which could have purely been down to the minor savagery or just RNG.

Edit: To add NB also have a much harder rotation compared to DK's which is essentially static.
