Oh, and I assume you think they should lockout Cyro based on your time zone, right? Hate to break it to ya but ZOS usually uses UTC, which means midnight lockout would roll around at 8pm Eastern or 4 pm Pacific 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Just delete this outrageous thread ZOS lollolololololololol.

If u have problems with night capping, why not doing your self? Get on the ground, leave your EGO behind, stop being ELITE player, recruit players to you guild and do night capping your self. Fight fire with fire. You think night cappers dont put time and effort building those guilds?

Its sad seeing others you've played with on campaign turn and go to the other sides... All my AP for my non-EP characters are strictly BG's accumulation.

They need to introduce some sort of large incentives for playing on the underpopulated or losing Alliances. Like double AP for second place Alliance and triple AP for third place. As far as night capping I agree something needs to be done there as well but instead of locking the Campaign at a certain time they should just greatly decrease scoring when population drops below a certain point. So even if you have the entire map at 4 am in the morning your only scoring a fraction of the normal points per tick.

They also need to try and find new ways to draw in PvE players to Cyrodiil to get populations back up. Kyne on PS4 barely even has any population at all yet there are loads of low level players in PvE zones. Vivec has also dropped to historically low numbers the past few months and leads to this further lopsided Alliance balance issue where right now EP will have 3 bars and the rest only 1-2 bars.

Should have just ended the post right there.

You can't take the score seriously. That's okay.

    Have fun out there.

Faction locking isn’t the problem. Nightcapping is a thing. My regular hours on EP PC NA during the week at around 4-5 Am EST these lil ball Zergs go emp and steal all the Scrolls by pvdooring.

However, most of these lil Zerglings are a might squishy. So I still get my kills. Pvdooring and faction hopping to give the Scrolls to the enemy made me just not care about the outcome of the campaign anymore.

I don’t care about the campaign. I don’t care about AP. All I care about is kills and the hate tells I receive. Kills and hate tells. Lol.

The only way to create faction balance is dynamic population caps.

Or weight the scoring based on overall population, either more scoring ticks during high pop hours or score multiplier/dividers based on campaign population. It removes the outsized impact nightcapping off-peak has on the score without preventing anyone from playing what they want.

What time's are good for you OP? Foreigners shouldn't be able to play at times that's convenient for them, how outrageous!

LOLOL. I usually play Sotha... 20 man group! BWA-HAHAHAHAHA! I think the biggest group I've been in is 8. 20!!!!

You seem to forget that the night in the US is the morning in the EU and the afternoon in Australia. There is nothing like nightcapping, only if you geoban everybody from the other megaserver - and Australians are left out completely in that case.

Isn't that convenient how all those players playing at odd hours end up on the same alliance? Feel free to argue semantics all you want.

It is undeniable that there is a problem with large groups of players logging in on one alliance while others are empty to PvDoor the whole map and capture all 6 scrolls.

That can be solved with a faction lock.

Care to share how faction lock is going to help? There are already 20 guys on one alliance. They are not swapping anywhere. Faction lock will not help those 5 guys on the other alliances to prevent a map-painting-PvDoor exercise.

They really cannot explain properly other than warm fuzzy feelings.

Also, telling players they cannot play in Cyrodiil because OP is not available is not a good idea. this is a 24 hour game with players from across the world on all servers.

Locking campains for your account should definetly come first here. The relogging is way out of hand in cyro.

Ohh look blue has low pop ap boost, lets play with my blue here....srsly if you pick an alliance per campain you have to stick to it.

That's what lowpop is for lol.

Here it is, another person who thinks everyone is playing from same place.
History, like a human being, is thirsty when it wakes from its slumber…History wants to drink up an enormous amount of blood. And even if history has tired of drinking blood, that’s only in regards to the amount. But what about quality? The larger the sacrifice is, the more delighted the cruel gods will be.

I have said these things so many times, but every time I'm attacked vehemently by people going like "I want to switch alliance to go where the action is", "... to play with my friends", "... for game balance(?!)" and what not.

Here is what needs to be done:
    • At the start of every campaign, if you enter with a EP/DC/AD character, you may only enter THAT campaign with other toons belonging to that same faction - no other alliance, not as main nor guest.
    • You will be able to go to any other campaign with toons belonging to other factions; meaning you can be on AD in Vivec, and on EP in shor or whatever.
    • When the campaign is ended, you are free to join the new campaign on whatever alliance you may like.

I say a big no-no to any sort of "nightcapping prevention measures". War can go on during night too, there's no reason whatsoever to take any actions towards this.
Previously, DC was always nightcapping Vivec on Xbox EU. Nobody said s**t about that, we just recaptured the map when we got back from work in the evening. No biggie. Now however (sounding like that annoying Maelstrom commentator), EP are nightcapping - because a tiny number of decent EP players have decided to do so; and the former yankee DC nightcappers obviously can't stop them. THIS has made people upset, "EP is always nightcapping, ZERGERS!". That's the way we had it for months, even years. So no. Leave that as it is. I'm fine.

The reason for the alliance lock though, that's important. I can't "name and shame" (no matter how much I'd like to do it), but there are people systematically chaining enemies (primarily AD) into EP keeps to steal scrolls etc. Just last week, we had a scroll stolen about the same time as a siege started, because of this "chaining procedure". People have even caught people like these actively pulling enemies into keeps (so I'm not speculating), and I have personally video captured some DC exploiting themselves into keeps with chains/focused charge without the help of others. Afaik that was considered an exploit previously, permaban as far as I can remember.
And yes, these people have been reported - multiple times by multiple people. Same people have been reported for other kinds of cheats too (using several different class abilities, or spamming ultimates). But noting happens. These people keep doing their thing, and openly boast about it in area chat "ZOS ain't gonna do s**t, report me all you want! LOL".

And NO, this wouldn't decrease the PVP population. "The game population is too small, it can't be done", I'm not buying it.
It would perhaps decrease the number of people in it just to be a**holes, but I literally have NEVER heard anyone being negative to a campaign/faction lock. On the contrary, I'm hearing people say they will and seen people leave PVP for good or for periods of time; because of these cheaters - some get a whole lot more upset than me. The running of scrolls right into the hands of enemies (and boasting about it in chat afterwards) is a classic, and it's always equally "appreciated" - among other things.

I've heard all kinds of nonsense defense of all this, such as above. And even facepalm material such as "there are traitors and spies in real life too you know, live with it!". Yes, there are. But in real life, I can kill them on sight. I can't prevent an "allied comrade" from ruining things in this game. I can't touch them.
If they are SO EAGER to cheat, and such LOUSY PLAYERS, that they intentionally join and remain in an "enemy faction" for a whole campaign, just to cheat. So be it. It speaks volumes, and at least they won't gain much AP intentionally losing everything to "enemies" (friends).
If they have multiple accounts, oh boy - then I'm eve more sorry for them. Then let them do their thing, and shame themselves by showing everyone that they need to spend MONTHS (leveling toons) being able to cheat to win, instead of "gitting gud" instead.

Anyone ever consider that some of us who "switch" are doing it because we are doing PvE things? I'm not riding my DC toon into pop locked AD teritory to get a map. No, I don't sit in Cyro all day, I'm not going to wait until blue has the map. I'm going to get my AD toon and get my maps.

BTW, those of you who sit there wondering why I die so easily, it's because I suck at PvP. ZOS has demanded we all play together, so deal with it.

You know, 80% - at least - of Cyrodiil is peaceful. There are narrow routes where people go. At the remaining 80%, you could throw a rave party just like it was Mournhold. you are unlikely to confront enemies if you don't hang around keeps, cross the ways there etc. (after all it's a WARZONE, you like PVE/rp, right?).
If you go to a low population campaign, non-CP ones for example. You will often literally meet "enemies" who does the "Hello!" and laugh thing. Those are fishers, getting lorebooks and doing questing. I am also pretty sure most people in Cyrodiil go there for PVP, not PVE. I have done some PVE questing there just for fun. I even took down dolmens and ran alongside "enemies" in delves. It's often (not always, of course) that way in other than Vivec/Shor.
