New Sorc skill

Maybe another iteration of hardened ward since it got destoyed.
But I was thinking of a skill that would reflect melee attacks in the same way DK wings reflectes projectiles.
Make it magicka so stam sorcs dont become even more god like.
Similar to wings certain skills go through like DBs and aoe and non direct type attacks.

    Interesting idea. Maybe the reflect should be placed on Boundless Storm so that Stam Sorcs would be less inclined to give up Hurricane for it. The physical damage from the melee attacks should be reflected back as lightning damage and one cast of boundless should only reflect a fair amount of melee attacks over 4 seconds (not sure if the amount of attacks reflected should be different or the same as wings and perhaps the reflect duration should last as long as the major expedition buff). After the 4 seconds have passed Boundless will still function how it currently does. In PvE, boss melee attacks should not be reflected (Similar to how wings cannot reflect everything in the game). I also agree that if a change like this were made certain skills should be exempt from being reflected.

    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    The last thing we need is more reflection abilities. They are lame and poor balancing. This would overpower mag sorcs.

    Area effect disarm ultimate, similar to negate, would be awesome and could go to a stam morph on one of the classes. Not sorcs. Maybe wardens or Templars.

    Sorcs need better sustain against stamina builds, especially high pressure bleed builds. How about cutting the cost of Conjured Ward to make up for how hard they nerfed it?

    Asking anything too complicated from ZOS is only going to result in poorly-balanced new content that'll likely end with Sorcs getting nerfed even further.

    Just give us something simple like minor protection on Boundless and call it a day.

    Sorc offense and sustain still feels good when built for, and mobility seems relatively better with the slowing-down of everyone across the board, but options for mitigation are abysmal.

    I put plague doctor/Necropotence/Ilambris on my sorc. Put the twilight matriarch on my bar for a heal.
    42k magicka, 30k health, around 2.3k spell damage and......a 16k shield.

    Not having an issue with sorcs or a shield for that matter.

    They should get rid of all spell reflect except for the sword and board one to be honest and balance another way. DK could use some buffs actually as they have no execute and no mobility. Sword and board one should be an ultimate.

    Exactly, ZOS should get rid of reflection wings and give something better to DK,

    Players using Magicka spells or Bow currently feel fool fighting them. Infact have to block/dodgeroll own spell.

    I'm going to say all divines, and 5/2 weight as necro is light only and plague doctor is heavy only, with 2 light Ilambris. Your jewellery then from plague doctor (so passives aren't gimped)? weapons from necro...

    How are your attributes spent?

    Are you running this PvE/PvP, and in which capacity? I can see it being a sturdy build for taking hits, not sure about damage output in PvE.

    I watched a youtube vid on vMA with this build and was surprised to see that the stats are achieveable. Although i wonder how well it would go in BGs with diminished Magicka etc.

    I believe him, considering this is also possible even with impen TBS on a templar. I shudder to think what is possible on sorc or NB. 5/1/1 Passive, Max CP char. 32 mag/32 stam split. Notice also the monster set and second mundus value...

    If you want to build for max stats you can get them. Though when using a build that stacks hp/stam/mag, you won't have any safety net from proc sets! I honestly though mag stacking sorcs would just cut mag and move to a build like this gaining stam and hp...Guess not.

    Stats have never been a sorcs issue. Those look perfectly achievable to me. My BTB/Spinner build gets 43k mag, 25k health, and 15k stamina, with almost 3500 spell damage fully buffed, 2k of mag regen, 3k crit resist, and 20k spell/phys resist. Sorcs struggle primarily with bar space (which leads to a whole host of problems) and any time they are getting damage from multiple sources (because shields scale poorly). Sorcs certainly have issues in this game. I believe in PVP, magsorc is a bottom tier class at this point, but raw stats arent the problem.

    DKs need wings because they are heavily balanced towards being a "stand your ground" class that wins forcing other people to fight melee. Sorcs? They don't need this. They already have the absorbtion field from the other morph of Streak. It's a range class that relies on the burst&bait playstyle to work. Wings-like mechanics don't belong in the same universe of a Sorc.

    Maybe another iteration of hardened ward since it got destoyed.
    But I was thinking of a skill that would reflect melee attacks in the same way DK wings reflectes projectiles.
    Make it magicka so stam sorcs dont become even more god like.
    Similar to wings certain skills go through like DBs and aoe and non direct type attacks.

    Thoughts?

    Your version of DK wings and Shimmering Shield is Ball of Lightning. Id like to see that skill buffed.
