So as it is imperial city has very little activity. However that could be very easily rectified. For a much simpler interesting gameplay remove all the doors between the districts remove the flags. And turn the zone into one large city sized free for all. You could gain ap and telvar the same as you do now. The only difference is that now instead of having very little presence in there you can now hunt anyone you seek in the city. There wouldn’t need to be any separate leaderboards or anything special. Just the idea of a free for all battleroyal in the city would be cool. Players could still quest as they wish but at their own risk as now even those who you called friend could turn foe with the throne so close at hand

    They should make PVE version of IC atleast at shor. I would definitely would love to go to IC and just join groups like at dolmen we have, wouldnt even mind if it wouldnt have tevlar stones. Its hard to find right now a guild that would do 2-3 days a week IC grind and in zonechat no one is interesting, since most of them just there for ganking singletons. The IC maybe could be limited to 50 people lock?

    I feel that something needs to be done with Imperial City to give much more incentive to be in there.

    Whether it's unique PvP dailies with unique loot or something else i'm not sure.

    I remember when the arena district was just pure chaos and like 20v20 fights. It was literally some of the most fun PvP. Then it went quiet.
    Then the flags were added and it killed what was left.

    Now it's a ghost town and farming zone for the "sewer rats" to buy alchemy mats to sell.

    Sure. Eliminate 50% of the PvP zones to add the 29th PvE zone.

    Imperial City needs (1) a direct port to cut out two loadscreens and a ride across Cyrodiil then (2) some enhancements that give districts a little more variety.

    PvE players get new content every 90 days. PvP has received just two additions since launch: Imperial City and Battlegrounds.

    Take IC out of the cyrodiil campaigns, have a CP and no-CP version and make it so you can port directly to and from your faction hub.
    It's a pain to get to, it's a pain to leave, it's horrible to navigate around and there is little to no incentive to do so.

    there is no low activity in imperial city at all, i can go there even 4 am in the morning and i find people

    prime time its impossible to farm, huge zergs and many people fighting + a *** of gankers

    The Molag Bal story line is long over. I doubt they revisit any of that content. It would be nice, but I doubt it happens.

    I doubt this would have the effect you want.

    The reason people avoid Imperial City (and I don't blame them, I avoid it too) isn't because it has doors and flags. It's because it's true name is Gank city. And most people just have better things to do with their time they get ganked over and over again for the sadistic pleasure of others.

    Don't remove the doors. The lag etc. It's better how it is.

    Sadly players need motivation to do anything in this game. Look at IC event, packed.

    Thus mechanics aren't the issue, but increase what's available for Tel var or new gear, etc etc etc

    IC is a unfinished gem if ZOS just looks at it properly and change it properly.

    1) Remove travel hurdle. Decouple it from cyrodill.
    2) Remove the risk/reward as it is. Tel var just isn't worth it with the ridicilous prices. When a person finally has his 4x he gets ganked and loses most. Why even bother if the rewards are 30k+

    Ask the community for ideas. Pick the top 5 and your DLC will be 500% better. With all the changes and DLC that has come i'm leaning more to the fact that ZOS is missing a proper game designer with experience. All additions have been mediocre at best.

    Leave my Imperial city alone.... just make direct port from base and maybe add some more mechanics and maybe another bosses in the sewers like the district ones.... Ic is a place for high risk/reward farm and we who dare to roam there should be compensated for that.

    Maybe tune up the bosses on cp campaigns for harder farming.

    It is an incentive vs time investment issue.

    You can bet if Spell Strategist staves were purchasable with Tel Var it would be bursting at the seams with players. At least until everyone that wants one had it...

    The other option is to make IC easier to get to, so the effort to get a reward is less...

    I would like them to take a look at making it more fun too. Personally I think it would be better if they took the battle grounds design and implemented that. Let it be group vs group with a max size of 6 per group and you could queue up for a random group or go solo. That would at least keep it from being what ever faction has the biggest Zerg controlling it all and stomping anybody else that shows up into paste.

    Sadly it is unlikely that any thing will change because there isn't much ROI for ZoS in it.

    If the whole place becomes a pve zone, then i Will stop farming there. Prices on Mats, runeboxes and hakeijos will become worthless for traders.

    So other then that, im up for a big overhaul in the whole City, maybe refresh the arena into something pvp wise, like 1 Vs 1, zerg Vs zerg or something similar.. And let spectators bet on who is going to win. Winner gets half of the cut, the other half goes to the winning betters 😁

    IC died when they stopped spawning instantly in a district you died in. When they added the flag BS and stopped insta-respawn, the district battles died....back when you could just respawn infinitely those battles would go on for hours sometimes...and once those battles went away, so did the entire population, including the smaller groups roaming the sewers

    A friend can't turn into foe in this game apart from duels. Outside of that, either your attacks do damage to another player or they don't. A battle royale makes no sense in IC due to so many mobs, quests, telvar, and the ability to enter or leave at any time. A battle royale could make sense as a solo battleground. Completely at odds with what IC is.

    And how can you do a battle royale in a location so large? Are you suggesting a mechanic that forces players to smaller and smaller regions? How are they supposed to continue questing in the rooms that are "in the storm"? What happens when someone tries to enter IC and the entrance for their faction is deep within the storm? Are you saying to also remove walls? Why wouldn't they just make a different open zone for something like that?

    Sounds like what you actually want is PvP where everyone is just solo. But there are bosses in IC that are meant for groups. It is not compatible with what you are suggesting and the current setup is superior to the change.

    You forgot the cut for the loser who threw the match so that everyone could win their bets.

    Not quite accurate. They add new BGs. That is new content.

    They need to both (1) add direct porting to IC and (2) remove any connection between IC and Cyrodiil campaigns and population caps.

    They need to return Cyrodiil PvP from the grave first. 3 of the 4 main Campaigns on PS4 NA are completely dead and Vivec is on life support.
