What do you do with "The Broken Xinchei-Konu"?

After you complete the Monument of Change quest, is there something you are supposed to do with the reward Museum Piece or is it just to read to add to your lore library? I'm debating if I can get rid of it.

The Broken Xinchei-Konu is the Book of Riddles. It contains the clues for all twelve fragments. But rather than having to go back to Xinchei-Konu Monument each time you want to read the book, you get your own copy to track down the other 11 fragments.

Once you have the calendar completed, you no longer need the book.

The book you mean? I think since it says it's in your library once you've read it that you can just destroy it. I think it's too bad you can't put books like that on tables or in shelves....

I feel the same way; just the trait on it being Museum Piece threw me off... was thinking maybe it should get stored or delivered somewhere in Murkmire.

I couldn't find anything that indicated it was something to hold on to. But perhaps I missed something. So maybe keep it for a while?

Hmmm. What else did I have around for a while that was a "Museum Piece"? Ack, can't remember now. I don't know if I even still have whatever it was....

    Hang onto that item.

There are many more scattered around Murkmire. Each piece is a missing element in the large floor calender by the quest-giver. As you find the pieces, place them in the calender. Once complete, you earn that calendar as a Furnishing collectible.

I leave those books in my characters' packs as a keep sake. Same with the Wrothgar museum list, the DB sacrament hit list and so on.

So do I, though it would have been nice to see them removed from inventory upon completion of the collection, and be turned into a housing item for example... so you can place the list/book -physicaly- into your home instead having to carry it in your inventory...

These items would be best to be quest items if they can not be used as furnishings. Quest items do not take inventory space, there is no reason to penalize players by taking up inventory space for these quest items.

I had never thought of it as something to use for the quest since I just followed a map online. :)

Thanks for the input... it should definitely have been a quest item and consumed on completion of the calendar.
