Indrik Feather - Do NOT buy the same feather!

You must buy different feathers! Not like me who now has two of the same feather. Realised my mistake when I went to deposit it in the bank and it said I could not have two of this item in the bank. When i went to buy 2nd feather I saw there were two feathers at merchant. Ooo I thought. Which one do I already have? Went to bank...emerald. So I ponder for a moment (in my adrenaline frenzied state of mind after pumping out carnage around Tamriel). There are two indrik at the merchant and one has emerald head/horns. Bingo..must need to get that ticket. Yes, instructions are very clear to me now about having to buy four different feathers. Not consider the word 'all' in the first paragraph and not read the 2nd paragraph when buying a feather and you risk my mistake. I acknowledge my error.
My only question is...why not have just one feather to buy and we collect 4 of those?

✭✭✭✭✭I suspect you'll eventually be able to use that second identical feather to get a second indrik mount, since it looks like we'll be able to get multiple indriks after we evolve our first one. At least that's what it seems like.
But yeah, I'm sure you're not the only one who did this. When I saw the two feathers there, I had to check which one I had already to make sure I didn't get the same one.2 -

The reason is, so that people who can't participate in every event will still be able to get the Indrik mount.10 -

✭✭✭✭As of now I have one of each feather and 1 ticket in the bank. There are 9 more days of the CWC event to go. That's 18 more tickets I could get. But I can only hold 11 more tickets in the bank without buying another feather. So, I'm glad to see we can have more than instance of each feather at a time.

✭✭✭✭✭With the older feathers, the game needs to be able to recognize that we already have one of that type of feather, and give us a warning that says "you already have one of this type ... are you sure you want to buy this one?" It'll prevent this kind of thing from happening.26 -

Hmmm. Yes, players will be faced with a dilemma of maxed out tickets during events and all available feathers collected. E.g. Do i buy a feather I already have and go into the next events with say 4 tickets or hold off on that with my 12 max tickets and buy a feather straight up next event, then max the tickets in that event and wait for the next event to buy the last feather.1 -

I double checked by hovering over them and noting I already had one of them in my bank ( as @Matchimus suggests ). Offering the older feathers is for valid reason but it does create opportunity for accidents.PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo6 -
Shewolf075✭✭✭It's a shame you accidentally brought the same feather, we all have those derping moments. Perhaps there should be a system to which if you sold it back you would be refunded your 10 event tickets.4 -

I see that as a handy thing for me - I won't be participating in the Undaunted event because random dungeons are completely out thanks to the extreme latency from Australia - I wouldn't inflict my standing-in-all-the-bad-things self on ANY dungeon group!
So I can get my Undaunted feather tickets now, and buy the feather when that event starts.
As for accidental feather purchases, yes, it's too easy to do - it's one click with no confirmation and no sell-back. There should be either a "are you sure" dialog or the ability to sell back the errant feather.

I'm sure a lot of players will, then when they have multiple feathers they'll try to redeem for a mount and have no idea what's wrong...

I imagine it's so that the feathers are staggered releases, one per event. It's good that the feathers remain available so if you either have to miss an event, or choose to do so (for example in my case by having no interest in the group dungeon event), you can still catch up.2 -

This is as close to a confirmation as we're going to get at this stage. The text on the berries says:
See the last clause, "thus removing the Nascent Indrik"?
We can only have one instance of any mount in our Collections. First off we will have a Nascent Indrik in the collection. When we feed it the 4 berries to evolve it then the Nascent Indrik will be removed from our collection. So, if you buy, or have already bought, another 4 feathers there is no reason why you can't use them to create another Nascent Indrik.
If there are going to be 4 different evolved Indriks then it is in fact essential that we can create more than one Nascent Indrik.
If we acquire enough tickets we may eventually be able to have 4 evolved Indriks and one Nascent Indrik in our Collections.PC EU10
