Remove quick mending for argonian

Come on, this not even funny, when one race is way ahead others for tanking and at the same time one of the best choices for healers this is not good or funny at all.

I have nothing against "resourceful" passive - it's like argonian signature and it requires certain sacrifices. But quick mending (5% healing done and 5% taken) is plain imbalanced buff, worth of 4 set bonuses (remember, 2% healing done or 4% healing taken). Replace it with something dps oriented or related to assassination (according lore we had nice lizard assassins).

no just no., ppl make the choice to have slightly less dps in return for slightly more heals , no argonian is complaining that high elf or dark elf have dps oriented buffs. that's the point of choosing a race.

Haha, you're funny. Next patch argonians are getting a kick in their resourceful passive. That's just how ZOS operates.

Spot on, people just want nerfs on races they don't use, they see someone performing well, "guess it's time for a nerf post"... Sadly ZoS will nerf em now that these players have surfaced.

So having said that, nerf dark elf for having too much fire resistant, nerf high elf for 10% magicka recovery - 20% when turned vampire, nerf redguard for having too much sustain, nerf khajit for having high dps and crit, nerf imperial cause theyre passive is like a set passive giving max stats... List goes on, start nerfing ZoS, your challenge has arrived!

I got idea = +10% to poison damage instead of quick mending. If you read pass topic title, you'll see that i'm not for nerfing, but to replace extreme tanking passive (+10% healing received - it's extreme) and give dps passive.

You're funny. If anything this game had too many buffs since 2015. People just scream much louder when they are getting nerfed then when they're getting buffed.

Fire resistance.. that's funny. Though you forget that high elves and redguards are only slightly better then others for dps role, you may select dark elf or breton instead of high elf or khajit instead of redguard and difference in dummy dps will be not more then 5%. If you take argonians they are miles ahead for tanking, imperials which are suggested to be 2nd are far away in terms of survivability, and they don't have any sustain bonuses at all. Lol all the imperials have better then lizards is + 3% health and ~+2k stamina. Compare it to 50% for potion efficiency (or you may just use cheap potions and then it will be + 100% to potion efficiency) and +10% to healing received and also poison/disease status immunity..

...and here I have been remembering all those "Argonians are the most useless race ever" threads of years past...
So they got buffed since then. And may bet more rebalances sometime, because that is how ZOS does things, keeping fiddling with the balance... I am sure someday they will get around to reviewing the argoniam passives again too. Though I would think they might check more -actual- data then just some peopel going like "OMG, argonians have bigger heals then me, nerf, lol!"

No, thank you. Argonians are already bis for 2 out of 3 roles, giving them a DPS passive may increase this to 3/3.
A DPS passive, depending on how strong it'll end up, will either be completely useless, if it's too low to compete with other races and therefore argonians will get nothing out of it, or it will be broken op, if it ends up being on par with something like the elemental bonuses of altmer and dunmer, leaving nothing but argonian as the optimal choice for either role due to their already strong resource gains. In PVP however, they're already way too strong.

Leave Argonians alone. They were, at one point, one of the most useless classes — second only to Nords. Why is it bad that there’s one race that has an edge over other races in a particular role? I would understand your complaint if Argonians were BIS for EVERY role, but they’re not.

They are BIS for healing (with altmers) and completely OP for tanking. They are so powerful that hi-end argonian tank can ditch "tanking" sets and completely stick to support utility, leaving any build diversity not viable. If this is good, i'm Santa Claus.

I would say BiS healer, BiS tank and a very strong PvP race is pretty close to "BiS for EVERY role"

    Hi, Santa!

If racial choices don’t matter and are just cosmetic, then the game simply becomes MORE homoginized—not less. Also, seriously? You’re talking about build diversity and PVE TANKING? The meta has long been, and will likely continue to be, Alkosh+Ebon+Bloodspawn. Argonians or not.

PVP is a different story. There are so many interesting tank/heal specs you can try, and the Argonian’s excellent passives make it easier to experiment. My favourite setup at the moment for my Templar in BGs is Pariah + Clever Alchemist + Earthgore.

^ Title ^ Following that logic we should make an argument that:

    - Altmers have increased Flame, Frost and Shock Damage, thus they are way ahead of others when it comes to DPS so it needs to be removed.
    - Dunmer have increased Flame damage, Frost and Shock damage thus they are way ahead of others when it comes to DPS so it needs to be removed.
    - Khajiits have increased Weapon Critical, thus they are way ahead of others when it comes to DPS so it needs to be removed.
    - Bretons have Reduces costs of Magicka abilities so they are way ahead of others when it comes to sustained DPS or healer so it needs to be removed.
    - Orcs have Increased damage with melee weapon attacks and reduced sprint cost and increased sprint speed thus they are way ahead of others when it comes to PvP so it needs to be removed.
    - Redguards have melee attacks that restore stamina, thus they are way ahead of others when it comes to sustained DPS so it needs to be removed.
    - Bosmers have reduces detection radius & increases damage done while in stealth, thus they are way ahead of others when it comes to PvP ganking so it needs to be removed.
    - Imperials have melee attacks that restore Max Health, thus they are way ahead of others when it comes to tanking so it needs to be removed.

The point is ZOS said this:

    Hi all,
While we aren’t ready to share specific details yet, here’s a peek at the goals driving the team’s effort:
    • When selecting a race, players should have multiple effective options for any given gameplay role.
    • The combat power provided by each race should be more equalized.
    • Players should feel a stronger sense of power progression through racial passives as they level up.
    • The unique feeling and flavor each race provides should be retained and enhanced where possible, and remain faithful to established lore.
So basically they are going to keep each race "theme" but you will be able to be equally effective in all roles. I hope that means buffs not nerfs.

    ^^ thanks for that ^

I guess all race balance will go nuts soon and probably my favorite races (nords, orcs, bosmers) will be buffed since they sxxx in PVE now badly :D (gigglin', rubbing hands)

Healing done is not very important, healers don't tend to run sets who buff healing done, for an healing set you want an healing set you want one who reduce incoming damage or buff group.Healing taken is nice but 5% is pretty small.

The resourceful passives on the other hand is very strong and that makes Argonians bis.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

The Quick Mending passive isn't even that big of a deal for healers when you realize that you tend to overheal anyways. I have 100 points into Blessed and elfborn. I honestly feel better healing on a Breton for the bigger magicka pool, the 3960 spell resistance, and the slight cost reduction. The Resourceful passive is the only reason to decide on whether you want your healer to be an argonian, and Quick Mending doesn't even factor.

I can't speak about tanking because I don't tank at all.

I don't want them be nerfed to the ground. As for me nobody is offended with argonian healers, it's mostly argonian tanks who play in another level of difficulty. Ditching quick mending will keep them viable while put them in line. Though i agree that if mending will be replaced by dps ability, argonians may become OP in PVP.
