The vMA grind is getting old very fast

Probably the worst grind in the game. Up to about 15 runs and no destruction staff and I'm already burned out. For comparison I ran vCOA probably 50-75 times for an inferno staff and I'd still rather do that than vMA. That is all.

PS: Someone is bound to say I'm whining and compare it to the old days of farming a sharpened inferno before transmute, and that's fine. It still sucks.

You are definitely whining. ZOS has made it so the trait is irrelevant and have not adjusted the difficulty such that vMA is easy for a max CP player and you are still complaining.

Did I mention difficulty in my original post? Just curious.

Nope. You intentionally left it out of your rant so as to create the impression that what you were trying to do something was so arduous that you and people now ought to have an easier go at it than the many others who for years have come before you.

Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

It's crazy that you can draw all those conclusions from a single post. Like I said originally, you can say I'm whining. That is fine. The content is still boring and drawn out, IMO. I think everyone on this forum knows you don't agree with that.

    Can't Relate

Your pain is nothing. If it means that much to you, you'll put up with the grind.

Shame to hear you’re burning out on it because imo it’s still some of the most fun content in the game (minus the ice stage).

Consider spacing your runs out more. If you haven’t acquired spell strategist yet, you could focus on farming gold/coffers for that (achievable through varied means) in between runs, especially because I think that set can increase your dps more than the vMA staff would anyway.

I must have gotten very lucky as I have copies of all weapons, including all destro types, from maybe 20 to 30 runs. Mind you, this is after 3 years of not being able to do it at all. If you can, it helps to post a weekly leaderboard score on multiple characters, as each will get mailed an additional gold weapon on Monday or Tuesday. Templar and warden seem to be the underdogs on PC EU as far as posting scores, so it was easy enough to get onto the list.

You realize that back in the day you weren’t even guaranteed a weapon, right? And that was a few hundred CP ago too. Kids these days

This is gonna sound like I need a tin foil hat.. But try running it on a stam toon if you're not already. Was farming a bow on my nb and always got junk. 2 runs on mag sorc = 2 bows :|

Same holds true for vet dungeons ...

Imagine not having transmution in the game.
Imagine that arena not being repeatedly nerfed

It's never really been nerfed - I don't know why people say that. Yes, there has been power creep, but that is true across the whole game. Maelstrom Arena has also had some bug fixes over the years, but fixing something that's broken is not a nerf.
