I'm thinking of trying it out in conjunction with Shacklebreaker in BGs. Has anyone tried it yet? Is the proc-chance too small?

I played with it on PTS. Ran a full FG1 killing everything and had 1 proc of it. The proc is too low and only you can see or grab it which means it can't be used as a support set either.

When it procs it's a good chunk of stats back, but it doesn't proc enough to risk it tbh.

I thought so. I made the massive mistake of making 3 purple jewelry AFTER reading the "fine print" - "when the enemy dies" That's when I realised the proc was just too low. But I suspect that if your AOE damage is decent and you hit multiple targets it might actually be more effective? What class did you try it on?

The desc reads like it's great against trash mobs in a fast running dungeon where you'll struggle to regain full stam/mag/stam between trash mobs, but totally pointless against bosses. Unless they're bosses who drop tons of adds (I hate those guys).

But still, seems a bit pointless.

I tried it out while leveling my Stamplar. It does proc regularly, and the stake is very visible, but all in all I’m not convinced it’s a good set. The main downside is that the stake is stationary and so you might waste the precious proc when mechanics prevent you from getting there (AoE effects, requirement to be in a specific place, etc). It’s a fun set for overland questing though.

So yeah, I tried it out in GBs and it is absolutely garbage. The only way to make it viable in PVP is to make its 5th piece bonus the same as Desert Rose but to proc when you deal damage rather than when you take damage.

Grave-stake-collector was a lost opportunity, and since the cool concept was used up, they're likely not gonna make another set in the same style but good

we'll only have this objectively-worse-than-nearly-all-alternatives set... which could've been a cool support one instead.

Well, it's a similar concept to Essence Thief, and that was also a promising idea but killed by its implementation. Forcing the player to collect a thing, i.e. adding another mechanic to the fight, needs to be a major bonus. Running through an Olorime circle every 30 seconds to get a substantial bonus to damage is worth the effort. This, not so much.

Grave stake was a good concept utterly killed because "balance".
