What happens to extra transmute crystals when the free eso plus trial ends?

I have a ton of transmute geodes clogging up my inventory due to the 100 crystal cap for non-subs. If I open some of those during the free trial, up to the 200 transmute crystal cap, will I be able to keep the excess crystals above the non-sub cap when the trial ends, or do I have to spend them before my cap goes back down to 100?
