Event ticket cap

I'm not sure if there's already been made a post like this.
What is the point in the cap on event tickets? I already had 5 spare ones from the last event, and you can get 22 or 20 from this event. That means i can get either 27 or 25 event tickets total at the end of this event. Removing 10 from that for the feather still puts me in a spot where i'd be able to earn more event tickets than i can possibly hold.
I understand that there needs to be this excess of event tickets for people who can't do dailies every day, but what is the point in not letting people who can log in every day bank the full amount of tickets?
Has zenimax said anything about whether there's a point in buying more of the same feathers? (As in can you have more than one of the indrik mount evolutions at the same time)

Change the post a little to better fit what i intended to say :)

How exactly are you being "punished" by that?

Maybe punish is a bit of an extra word to use, but i feel like i should be able to participate in the event fully every day

There is nothing preventing you from participating in the event every single day. You'll just get 1 less reward once you're back up to 12 event tickets.

Is there anything besides the two feathers to buy at the Impresario? If not, I guess you could buy a second Emerald Indrik Feather and get a start on your second Indrik (if that's possible, #noconfirmationyet). Sorta been what I'm planning to do.

I think this is meant to give those who couldn't get the first feather a chance to catch up

This is what I plan on doing. Starting a second Indrik so after I evolve the first I'll have another basic one to start with. Of course I'm going on the, possibly misguided, assumption that this is how it will actually work.

    Lolololol...

    Punished????

This plus the bleating from all the eso+ subscribers who want freebies during the trial week makes me fear for the future of the human race as we all descend in to a state of superentitlement.

You're confused. You can basically be a whole feather ahead and 20% on the way to your fourth by the time this event is over??
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Alright maybe not -punish- :)
I just found the cap strange, as people who can't make it every day can still catch up regardless of a cap, so it wouldn't hurt them even if people who can log in could have the full amount possible banked.
I was hoping to hear whether there was something else i could spend them on, so that there would be a point in me earning the ones from the last couple of days.

It's not punishing players who log in every day, it's being realistic about an achievable goal. If you could earn them every day, there'd be people saying they can't earn them and considering that punishment. Enjoy your double rewards and resources and be pray they don't alter the deal any further. ;)

Its kinda strange to me, why even cap it at all ? I have 5 event tickets from previous event (witch festival) and now we can get 14 x 2 tickets per day= 28 tickets. So theory speaking I will have 33 event tickets, however I will not be able to use them all.

I will use 10 tickets to get new feather, 12 gonna be saved for next event immediatly as it starts (with max cap its 12 event tickets ye i know i need just 10 for feather), meaning i will have nothing to do with 11 event tickets...

Soem clarification would be awesome how exactly is the Indrik gonna work... I would like to already start collecting berries or next feathers... I do not understand any reason behind event tickets being capped to 12 or the fact we cannot buy 4 different feathers if we can afford it.

PS: What I mean is if we "assemble" our Indrik and than we feed him berries will our not evolved Indrik stay in collectibles so we can feed him yet another different berries to evolve another form or do we have to start again from 0 ?

Yes. Actually, because of the 20 hour timer everyone complained about there were a possible 18 tickets available during the Witch's Festival. That means some people could potentially be buying their 2nd feather today, third feather on the 20th, 4th on the 25th , and have 2 event tickets left at the end.

Edit: I doubt anyone got more then 17. You would have to have hit those 20h timers exactly.

I think they wanted to make sure people who will miss days during the events aren't left behind, whilst also making sure no one can get it earlier than the start of the New Life festival. Or they just wanted to push us to spend the event tickets instead of hoarding them hoping for something better than an indrik later on.

It's a good system for me because I'm in both 'groups' at various points. I got the first feather and I'll probably be able to get the second and 10-12 extra tickets from this event which will put me ahead for the next one. I'm hoping I'll be in the same position for the Undaunted event - able to get the feather early on and then save up extra tickets because then my situation reverses and it's highly unlikely I'll get 10 feathers during the New Life festival. But this way I'll be able to get the indrik at roughly the same time as everyone else.

Not that I'd mind if I got it after everyone else, as long as I can get it eventually, but I'm glad I can get a head start during times when I am free to make up for times when I'm away.

(I understand why they don't but I wish the login rewards worked like that too.)

yeah, it's a little-known mini-game called alarm clock, and only retirees like me are allowed to play it <g>...i had a feather & 7 tickets at the start of the day, not sure how i missed the 18th ticket at the end of witches <g>. So I got 2 tickets this AM, then 2 after the 1amEST reset and I now have the 2nd feather & 1 ticket...i'll be in a similar situation as the OP in that I won't be able to get any more tickets toward the end of this event, however, i know that i'll be able to get the 3rd feather at the beginning of the next event & can basically coast from there, and instead i guess i'll farm for motifs til then
