Can you switch from NA to EU and back to NA servers?

Going to Europe for about two weeks for work. I have only used PC North America servers from beta, can I use log into the EU servers or are they uniquely different accounts? Before somebody tells me, “you should go outside” I will be doing plenty of that I just don’t want to miss some of these end of year ESO events. Last year I traveled overseas and I used NA servers from there and the speed was horrible due to latency. Is it possible to use either EU or NA servers for the same account information?

You can absolutely create an account on EU and play it, but it wont have anything from your NA account. They are completely separate, including all crown store goodies.

What they said. No characters or collectibles are shared... Crowns are, though! You buy something on NA, it takes the Crowns on EU, too, but you only get the item or whatever on NA.
if I could make another character, their name would be Cries-For-Character-Slots. AKA, I need more.

The answer is no. You can't have your account on EU.

You can play on EU server but it is completely separate and none of your characters will be there.

Essentially treated as separate accounts with a few things that carry over (Imperial Edition, any race any alliance, some mounts). But you'll have to start new characters, have no CP, and the daily reward advancement is not shared.

The only things you will probably have are your ESO plus status, and chapter purchases since those are outside the crown store. You will have access to any crowns and crown gems on your account, but purchases with them are restricted to that server. And to be explicit, you will be starting from scratch character and CP wise.

Your best option is probably to keep playing on the NA server from Europe. Which is entirely possible, they're not region-locked at all. You will probably have a higher than normal ping and may encounter some lag, but that's all.

That way you can keep playing your existing characters and any progress you make will count towards your normal account.

Alternatively you can pick to play on the EU servers when you log in, but you'll be starting completely from scratch - you won't have access to any of your characters or any progress you've made on them, your bank will be empty and any crown store items (including DLC) won't be available. And anything you do on EU stays there - there is no way to transfer characters or items over to NA.

If you're wanting to collect event tickets, or other event rewards, then continuing to play on NA is really your only option because any tickets you get on EU have to stay there, so you won't be able to use them.

Actually you have crowns, but not crown gems for whatever reason. And certain collectibles, like mounts and costumes tied to chapters, carry over as well. My striped senche tiger, shadow wraith horse, imperial white horse, dwarven war horse, and the black flame senche are all available to me on both NA and EU.

The way it seems to work is if something is added to your account outside the game then it's available on both servers, but if you get it in the game then it's only on the one server.

So ESO+, crowns and chapters carry over because they're purchased outside the game and some people will have some collectables too. For example I have the Imperial race, white horse and mud crab on both servers because I bought the Imperial Upgrade back when it was sold on the website (because the crown store didn't exist), but anyone who bought the Imperial Upgrade in the crown store will only have it on that server.

I guess it's something to do with where/how they save the data, but I'm not sure.

I cut Zenimax a lot of slack, but one thing that I find incomprehensible is how Crown Store purchases are server-specific. I switched from EU to NA and had to repurchase additional slots, merchant, banker, mounts and outfits. In my mind, it is indefensible. There is no reason why these can’t be cross-platform. It’s just nickel-and-dining your most loyal customers.Horrible.

correct, I do it every day switching back and forth between my EU and NA account, playing on both.

Just instead of 50ms ping average you'll have 200ms which is felt...

I would not want to do a Trial or DLC dungeon with the high pings going to NA server while being physically in Europe. But just doing a daily Clockwork City quest to get event tickets? You should be fine.
