    The quest tracker does need work. Like if I finish a quest stage, give the next stage, not some random quest from my list.

    And don’t change my active quest, just because I picked up a new one. If I want to change them, I’ll do it myself. :|

    This bug has been in game for years. Zos seems to not find interest in fixing it.

    I actually like that change but they should add an option to turn it on/off

    Kinda like how I get a message telling me that I need to collect 0/1 runestones every time I change zones with writ quests in my journal? :lol:

    Also here’s a +1 for OP. I hate this change and would love a toggle option. I choose my active quest for a reason.

    well at least this thread helped save me from tearing my addons apart, looking for the bug...this happened off & on for me but it's gotten pretty bad recently, and i was ready to blame a couple journal-related addons, but i guess they're not the culprit...

    Sometimes i dont want an active quest at all... I wish we could unselect the active quest.

    They changed it with the Summerset patch. Very last thing at the bottom of the patchnotes.

    This is what they call a "sev 4" issue. Which means it will never get prioritized. Because - if the workload gets to a point where the devs can address low-priority issues, they've already been let go. True story.

    Go into your menu ---> Journal ---> Quests ---> Quest you don't want active ---> Abandon ---> Repeat until all quests have been removed ---> You're welcome

    I do think there is a way to remove the quest text and/or markers from your UI so you can at least make it LOOK like you have no active quest.
