All game settings and addons reset! Why?

I played ESO earlier today with no issues. Log on 3 hours later and need to go thru the cinematic again, and all my settings, addon settings, key bindings and video graphic settings are completely wiped!!! Why did this happen?
I use dressing room addon to easily switch between differend gear set ups. And all of it wiped clean
can I get some kind of explanation for this! It's extremely frusturating

Your user settings and add-on settings files were wiped. Could be a Windows update bug or your anti-virus software flagging and removing the files.Edited by MLGProPlayer on November 12, 2018 2:37AM1 -
Thormar✭✭✭✭If it's gone there's not much you can do.
Key bindings and video settings can be setup in a short while.
It's loosing addon saved data that sucks, some store long term data: Harvest heat maps or say MM's trade data,
and in your case dressing room data.
When you're ready, recreate the gear setups, but make it a habit from here on out to regularly back-up that ESO folder under my documents. Further, it's also not a bad idea to periodically backup the 90 or so GB game folder.
