Transfer question

So there is no means of transfer right? So are console players just screwed when the next gen system releases for Xbox and sony? That can’t be good for eso or the players.

Who knows. If ZOS port ESO to next gen console, they may implement a system to allow transfer between different gen console. Still not likely to allow platform transfer due to DLC and ESO+.

It worries me though because I do have a lot of money spent into eso. If I had to start over. I would survive but I would like to still have everything I ever bought for crowns.

As long as the servers have a good population it is in Zos' best interest to keep the game working on any new generation console. That does not require a transfer, but merely an update, if required.

Would the update be able to include my crown store purchases? We may have a new console between 2019-21 with the chance of it being on the closer side effects if I should still invest money into my game if it could be irrelevant soon

Your eso progress is tied to your xbox/ps4 account so keep ur login credentials and since most console gaming libraries are backward capable I'd imagine zos will jus apply a lil update n ur game will carry over, jus like xbox one to the xbox one x and the og ps4 to the ps4 pro.

Oh alright. That makes me feel better. I wasn’t sure if they kept track of that info for us

Zos updates the game constantly. It is not a new start on a new server.
