Are there any noteworthy Content Creators for ESO?

This might be an odd topic, but I thought I'd ask. I'm excluding Streamers from this, though. To my understanding, when a MMO is still quite new and popular, there's usually this wave of all sorts of content. I'm talking about guides, in-depth guides, music videos, machinimas, reviews, Facts, Top lists, parodies and so on. I haven't really found much about ESO as a whole, but I'm still searching. MMOs like Guild Wars 1, TERA and World of Warcraft saw plenty of stuff like this in their prime.

When I joined Guild Wars 2 in 2015, I was quick to notice that the game had quite a lot of activity in its first years when it came to Content Creators and their projects. Unfortunately, the community and the developers scared away most of them, leaving only a few... or even forcing others to become streamers instead. SWTOR is still getting new faces every now and then, but it's hard to get them known amongst the players since they're so reserved.

So yeah, how are things for ESO in that department? Are there any websites or YouTubers that I should check out? I'd love to see the potential out there and give it a shot myself down the line.

It's sad that ESO doesn't have a lot of roleplay/QoL support, and the messing around videos & Machinima videos are not supported by ZOS or the player base

I'd recommend one youtube channel....Dancing in ESO. It doesn' have a lot of content and the creator is definitely a talented machinima producer

I'm also going to point out this here. Is there any good source to get official footage and trailers about ESO? The official ZOS YouTube channel hasn't seen any activity in two years.

For guides on just about any topic try Dottzgaming on YouTube. He does stream ESO like 3 times a week, but pretty sure he releases 2 videos per week. https://youtube.com/dottzgaming

Every major chapter release he reworks his complete beginner guide. The Summerset one was like 3 hours and 20 minutes.
Yes it has timestamps for different topics, so you you don't have to watch it in one go. They get featured by ESO on the community page every time.

He used to upload VODs which kinda cluttered things up, but if you search his channel there a many many guides.

    Kevduit's vids are usually funny
Alcast drops a ton of info and build vids
Fengrush lots of pvp montages and occasionally build vids
JackDaniell has off meta builds for pvp (kristofereso on YT)
    Xynode

There is more, but that's off the top of my head....

The content creators have left. Sypher went to For Honor and BDO. Deltia jogged to the gym. Kodi got deleted and never made his comeback.

Are you surprised? You shouldn't be. Game's old, it's stagnating, the hardcore players aren't happy, and there never has been a huge scene to begin with. On the contrary, ESO players are surprisingly stern on keeping things to themselves.

Out of the top of my head, Fengrush appears to become more active again for some PvP streaming. For all things PvE, Alcast has a great website and sometimes YT videos. Pelican also uploads special PvP montages, sometimes builds.

There's no regular creator who talks about events or patches, although Feng and such sometimes read the notes on stream and YT, commenting on them. ESO Live would be your best bet for news, although I never find the date when they're streaming. xD

Forum and Discord are pretty active, tbh.

of the ones I watch - Tianlein for general overviews including news and concise guides, Curry gaming and Elara Northwind for Housing and random lore, Shimmer and Hello its Icy and for when I feel like it. there's actualy a fairly active housing community, complete with video content. those are of a the top of my head.

I think part of it is that there is such a wide gamut of content styles that there isn't any single content creator that works as a mainstay go to. IMO

that and it seems like even for larger games, there seems to be more of a push towards streaming rather then prerecorded content (up to and including posting stream recordings later on youtube). like.. WoW is still pretty active as a game and when it comes to streaming, but I haven't seen a lot of machinima lately at all, and that used to be THE thing to do in the community.

some of it could also be due to youtube just getting worse and worse for content creators lately.

    dirty worthless casual.

I think OP is asking less about news and builds, and more about the entertainment side, like machinima, parodies, and thing like "Top ten hidden lore facts" type of thing. Sadly, ESO videos are more like "State of the game" and exposing players in PvP. (And all that really comes down to is beating another player...you know, in PvP. The place designed to beat other players. Shocker)

As far as in-depth guides, check out Xynode. He does dungeon guides in detail, as well as his builds. Seriously, his builds are over an hour long most of the time. In depth, but if you want things explained, Xynode is your man.
