Would you like more class skill lines?

Hey peoples! Would you like to see more class skill lines added to the current classes we have in game already?

For example maybe the DK have a skill line centred around healing?
Or Templar's have a more tank focused line?

What would you like added?

I would always like to see for skill lines added to give options and variety that some players and playstyles in and of themselves seem to squeeze out of the game.

Whether they will add them or not is another question.

Warden needs another DPS skill line to give variety to their playstyle.

Sorcs need a Healing skill line and potentially a more tank oriented skill line, even though sorc tanks are currently in a decent'ish position.
Some more stamina DPS options would be welcome too.

NB healers and tanks need some love with recent changes badly affecting them in order to curb the magblade DOS healing power.

DK healers need some love with a skill line and maybe a more stamina oriented DPS line to make it not just lots of weapon skills (generic for most stam classes i think)

Templars need a mostly stamina oriented DPS line and some more tanking utility. The options for maim and chaining/pulling in ranged are better than they used to be, but many other factors need improvements.

I want, but I seriously doubt they will add them without nerfing the heck out of existing trees, so I'm potato'ing this one.

    Potato option is only option.
I wouldn't be against a 4th skill line but doubt ZOS would ever implement it, let alone in a balanced way that doesn't completely destroy the game.

Not until ZOS is balancing PvE and PvP separately (and not basing the whole of the PvE content balancing on the circa 1% who do trials).

I would love new skill lines in general as they generate a lot more build flexibility, but there's about a 0% chance ZOS would balance them well considering what a mess the current balance is like with class skills that have been around since 2014...

I would like to be rid of classes. Let us build our own character from every skill line just as we have been able to in TES games. Failing that, when more skill lines are added to the game I would like them to available to characters of every class, like the Psijiic skill line is.

Before any class skill lines I'd rather see:

    1. Melee Magicka weapon line
    2. Necromancy guild/World skill line
    3. Mounted combat skill line
    4. Pet tamer/master skill line

I'd just like to be able to slot and use 2-3 more of the ones I already have. Something like 6 active slots /1 passive slot / 1 ultimate.

I think that would make you a bit more versatile on the fly.

Only so many skills you can come up with before it's just a slight variation of other skills already in the game. Will just blur class identity even further.

Depends... if they also add the needed skill points to be able to max it, maybe.

Ultimately, it depends on many factors... like, I don't want existing classes/skills nerfed to foster the need to have this new skills, nor would want for them to be "expansion only", i.e. behind a paywall.

Also, it'd depend on the "theme" of the skills... there are some things I'm not interested (like necromancy, or summoning.)

All in all, they'd have to be well designed and thought through... which means, in practice, there's zero chance for that happening with this team

It definitely would be nice to have more skills (whether that means adding more skills to current lines or adding entirely new lines). Magicka wardens have 4 DPS skills right now, which makes builds incredibly stale.

I would like more stamina morphs for stamdk and stamsorc.
There are also a lot of dead skill morphs that ZOS should focus on and rework before creating new skill lines.

More skill lines, one assumes, would equal more variety in builds. Somehow I tend to doubt that would follow though, as every game of this sort relies on metas and those who chase them slavishly.

It doesn't matter if you call them classes or something else - there's always going to be the ones that others use based on what a few "top" people do.

Add a new class skill line which is dedicated to stamina abilities and ultimate. And also add a new weapon skill line which focus on magicka abilities and ultimate (like magicka tanking, then we can really just remove ice staff taunt.)

Tie skills to weapon types/schools of magic as per actual TES games.

Hell no, they need to do the opposite.

They need to strip a class line from each and merge those trees into the main game. That is the only way to make balancing between classes easier.

    For instance

Nightblade - Loses Siphon and it merges with Soul magic
DK - Loses Earthen Heart and it merges with Fighters Guild (Earth Forge themed)
Sorc - Loses Dark Magic and it merges with Mages Guild (make it less dark to match theme)
Templar - Loses Azura and have it rewarded at the end of the main quest
Warden - Loses Ice skill line and have it a fleshed out Ice Staff 'Defensive Staff' tree.

After that is done, ZOS only needs to balance 2 trees on each class. All classes get the benefits from all trees listed above. Adding a new class to the game in the future would only be 2 trees so therefore won't be a monumental balance issue either.

As it stands, 3 is hard to balance, 2 might be easily manageable. 4, and I'd envision it would just be the biggest IMBA can of worms imaginable.

They could then go a step further and do it with another class tree, then another class tree and boom, ESO is now class'less.

    For instance
NB - Assassination merges with Dark Brotherhood (Have an NPC give the tree as 'initiate' for those without DLC, have that tree limited to not include perks that resemble the DLC perks, without making the tree nerfed in combat)
NB - Shadow merges with Thieves Guild and Legerdemain - Same NPC treatment as assassination.

The NB is effectively destroyed at that point. Can do the same with other classes. Could even have it so you cannot have one particular guild tree active, while having another. So you can't be running a positive tree (Azura / Animal Compassion) and an negative tree (Assassination / 'Necromancy' (it'll happen)) So you can technically have access to all, but you cannot make a conflicting class.

You want a necromancer with 4+ skill trees?

You can still have a necromancer, with 2 skill trees. Most of my toons only use two trees primarily and maybe 1 skill and passives from the third tree. A 4+ skill tree class would just be clutter, and have so many balance issues in the game.

The last thing I want to see in this game is a necromancer anything. But at least I personally won't mess with it.

Ick. Ugh. Gross. Just SO wrong.
