How do you guys like them? Any interesting builds? Did you like the design overall of new sets?

As a magicka dps, Bright Throat's Boast and Spell Strategist are pretty attractive sets. They're some of the more generally appealing magicka dps sets I've seen in a while. I haven't used either of them yet, but I've definitely seen significant interest in Spell Strategist based on how it's selling in guild stores.

Since I mainly play a pet sorc, with pets not benefiting from spell damage, I can't really get personally excited over Spell Strategist. It's one of the reasons I wish they'd let pets benefit from spell damage. It's pretty limiting on good set options. Necro/Spinner is my current combo.

Naga Shaman on a DK healer is fun, if a bit of overkill in the healing department. Not that I'm complaining, my DK Healer needed some oil on it for me to bother trying to run it at all and after my NB Healer got gutted, I needed a new toy to play with and so far, Naga on my DK Healer has been interesting to say the least.

Threw Champion of the Hist on my NB Tank to replace Tava's. The extra damage and stamina is nice and all but I'm just not a fan of Stamina Tanking and its really clouding my judgement overall in that department.

Haven't really gotten a chance to try any of the new PvP gear sets yet, RL keeps getting in the way, but I do look forward to getting Battlefield Acrobat on my Stamblade for some resource management in PvP (more cloak, fears, etc are never a bad thing after all and my Stamina Sustain gets an across the board buff as well). Time will tell if it was a good move or not.

It's not so much the 5pc that has me using CotH but rather the fact that Murkmire nerfed Refreshing Path and Swallow Soul off my bar and has me utilizing more Stamina skills now to make up for their lose, namely Caltrops and Vigor. While Shalks does boost up Dark Cloak and Sap Essence, the former does it's job just fine regardless and the later is a flex skill that doesn't always see play on my bar, whereas Pierce Armor, Heroic Slash, Caltrop and Vigor are all much more commonly used now. I'm honestly just trying to salvage what little enjoyment I can out of my NB Tank at this point but it's really hard to when I reminisce about his days as a Sap Tank prior to Morrowind and see how far he's fallen since then.

@dpencil1 what's your current blue CP setup with Spinners? I'm curious because I know you'd need much less points into Spell Erosion. I'm currently running Infal and Necro but I'm interested in the combo you listed. Thanks.

Currently running a stamblade with Champion of the Hist with Bloodspawn, and let me tell you...incap is up all the time. I'm literally just running around hitting incap, while being tanky af. 3.6k weapon damage(unbuffed out of stealth), 2k recovery, 33k stam...the build is glorious.
I actually posted a build video, my first one, but it had 2 likes to 36 dislikes, with very negitive comments, so I took it down. No proc sets, no lethal arrow spam...don't honestly know why the negitive reaction, but I have no problem using it to wreak havoc. Showed the build in use to prove how effective it was too, both in Cyrodiil and in battlegrounds. Didn't seem to matter. Oh well....

Using Bright Throat Boast on a magblade with War Maiden and it's been fantastic. Who wouldn't love a magicka version of Bone Pirate? It's amazing. Pair with Spell Strategist...wow.

Aside from Soldier of Anguish, really good job on useful sets this go round.

Basically people tend to hate a lot on stamblade vids because they are the "salt" class.
People hate them for always getting ganked/hounded by them in PvP.

The fact that you made a tanky high powered blade probably generated enough salt for a mining operation.

@Silver_Strider isn't healers habit strictly better for healer then nagas shamen? Even on a dk healer, you get more spell damage and recovery, both more important then healing taken/received, which are both easily the worst set bonuses in the game.

The comments were salty, that's for sure. Weird as its also probably the most popular class, at least, I see them everywhere. Both in Cyrodiil and bg's. I take it more as I'm just not a "known" player. If someone like Alcast or Kodi or Fengrush put this out, you'd see everyone using it, thier comment section singing it's praises.
That is what it is...but the overwhelming venomous comments took me aback, for sure.

    Back on topic.

Champion of the Hist with Agility, Bloodspawn and Asylum 2H and Master's dual wield on a Stam DK is REALLY strong. DBoS was up so fast it was insane.

Going to put it on my stam sorc later and test it out.

    @Surreal88
My main focus these days is soloing and BGs. I'm not using the Lover stone or any source of Major Breach, and because I'm really just setting up my stats against overland mobs (9100 mitigation), I've only got 8 points into Spell Erosion. No CP in Battlegrounds means that Spinner is always effective there. Also, since I'm pet focused, I needed a set that would benefit them. Not only does spell penetration strongly buff pet damage, but Spinner also has 2 max magicka bonuses.

It's not really a matter of gear sets. No set, even a hypothetical one, will ever return the playstyles that have been removed for NB Tanks.

It's more for PvP purposes than PvE, since I have to get Warhorn with him still where the extra healing received is helpful. Plus, I didn't feel like running thru DSA lol

I'm levelling a new character, levelling class and weapon skills as they become available. It's still very hybrid with mag and stam about even. I'm using 5 Might of the Lost Legion with 4 sloads and 3 shacklebreaker to stack up some damage bonuses.

I'm in love with Battlefield Acrobat for BG's! Many of the other new sets seem good but my inventory space no longer allows much freedom for trying new sets and exploring new builds. I wish ZOS would add a loadout system (like the outfit system) instead of this dumb mess we have. :(

I feel Might of the Lost Legion with Elegant on a Sorc using Overload could be really powerful.

I've heard some good things about Naga Shaman on DK and Warden but Minor Mending is redundant on my Magblade healer.

    Grave-Stake is pure filler junk.

Been running with the new BG set Battalion Defender along with the older crest of cyrodiil for PvE. Definitely impossible to die and the 2.5k heal every second along with some Templar aoe heals helps the healer out a ton. Other than that it feels pretty boring to use since you have to keep block up 24/7.

No reason to use naga on a healer when healers habit is in the game. Naga is a tank set, like sanctuary.
