PS4 Cyrodil Performance is Terrible Right Now

ESO has been my primary game since launch, I am not slamming the game, but Cyrodil performance on PS4 with the exception of the "freezing" thing a while back, has not been worse. The lag, the DC's is chasing players away from the game. I normally play with the same 5-10 guys and no one is immune, good internet or bad internet, none of us are happy. You can literally tell when a large group is coming because the frame rate slows down before you see them

Every weekend players I know are stopping to play other games out of frustration. I hope this is being addressed, I know I have heard the entire zone chat say No More DLC's until the performance is improved. Heck, shut it down for a week, if needed... before the player base totally gives up..

By the way, I am logged in Vivec right now in a 5 man group, we had 10 but half of them got tired of DC'ing- and the entire time I have been typing this all I hear is complaints.

branching out to other games ain't such a bad thing...there's a lot of good gaming options this year...

I doubt your eso characters will be too jealous

Edit: ps4/eu - I dc'd 3 times trying to take chalman this morning...

on the last ride from bleakers to chalman - I arrived just after the keep had turned...

I immediately logged out - I don't need the aggravation...

Between today and yesterday my app crashed once and the game completely froze twice and that’s all in overland PVE. Starting to wonder why I still sub.

I activity might be taking a break from eso the nerfs bugs lag and lack of attention zos shows ps4 players has finally gotten to me it took almost 5 years but i'm fed up my with them the game has gone down hill so much and i expect eventually it might spell doom for eso on ps4

I got to Ash last night and died to an invisible player; on relogging got to a sieged keep but it took 3 secs for the door to work and when I got outside I immediately died. Three more disconnects and that was enough for me.

This morning, I rode to Nikel and got disconnected before I even saw a single player. Yet, the fight after that at Roebeck - though running at maybe 3FPS, I didn't disconnect at all.
But yeah, it's just awful.

It's this horrible on Xbox, Vivec campaign, NA server.

But it MUST be OUR internet access...riiiight?

We say no more dlc every time this happens. But they don’t listen. They’re more concerned about releasing new content than fixing the servers. Cyrodiils performance has always had issues. And always will.

Aye very true, cos a massive portion of the playerbase want new content and are more than happy to put up with degraded performance in favour of a new zone that many will complete in hours and some more flashy reskinned pixels on Crown Store.

There are well known streamers, some even on the stream team, that invest money to have top notch Internet and all the bells and whistles to give them the best performance possible....and they still get lag. Not just in PvP, but in open world/trials/dungeons.

It's why I'm always shaking my head when players try to blame it on your personal connection, or your specks. I don't get the "white knight" mentality where you cannot in any circumstances rightfully put blame where it belongs...I love the game too. That's exactly why I'll point out its shortcomings and issues. Because I love it and want it to improve...not because I enjoy not being able to do basic things like bar swap and break free.
The reality is that lag is a massive issue. No one's saying it to trash the game. We're bringing it up in hopes something will be done to fix it. I should never be able to count to two after I push my bar swap, yes, even though I have the very best Internet in my state with everything wired in. (I don't play online games with wi-fi....lol)
