I don't know why...maybe to make it feel like I'm totally immersed and the one in the game fighting baddies and being a hero. But they always create characters completely different from how they look. It's a role playing game, so why not be someone else, you know, play a different role, they say. So it made me curious as to what other people did because I'd never really given it much thought before. Do you make your character to resemble you? Or do you create someone totally different?
I enjoy writing, and I've created short stories that suggest appearances and personalities for each of my ten alts. Much as possible, it's these stories that drive my character customization. Perhaps it's a certain lunacy or just too vivid an imagination, but my alts dictate what they will be and how they appear; I seem to have little control over what actually turns up in game.
I had a friend question whether I was into goth girls. He was taken back when I mentioned I wasn't into that but just liked the look of moody dark elves.

I tried to make my character look unique but ive been told I look like many things
