I'm playing a Sorcerer tank (5/1/1 hybrid) and I'm looking for a fun/good monster set to use. It's for PvE with focus on tanking in Normal/Veteran dungeons and solo play.

Race: Altmer
Class: Sorcerer
Attributes: 64 Magicka
Mundus Stone: Lover/Lady

Magicka: 34,457
Health: 26,841
Stamina: 21,296

(still lacking some passive skills, like the second rank in undaunted)

Resistance: 29,000 (lady)

Infused Chest (heavy) - Shacklebreaker
Infused Legs (heavy) - Shacklebreaker
Nirnhorned Gloves (medium) - Shacklebreaker

    I have 29 000 spell/physical resistance with Lady. I haven't gotten into any situation where I've felt that my resistances were too low. I get major ward/resolve from Boundless Storm. I once in a while run 1x pirate and Lover instead of lady.

    Lord Warden Dusk, sounds like you're nowhere near the resist cap and you probably have lowish HP

    I still haven't got all the passive skill upgrades (missing one undaunted, etc).

    I'm doing normal/veteran dungeon and overland content. I've rarely felt that my resistances has been lacking, and with good blocking and wards, my health hasn't been a problem either. This isn't a meta build, and I don't want to change it into one. I'm just curious what monster set would fit this specific build.

    Ok so sorc tank... when I played sorc tank I used Chudan since the in PvP and overworld amazingly useful lightning form isn´t as amazingly useful as a dungeon tank. Plus you get some extra hp and a slot to put another skill in.

    For fun as a tank, I sometimes use Selene since it procs on bashing. Stormfist fits the class of course.

    If you want a damaging monster helm and have enough defense, Thurvokun and Zaan are kind of neat if you can get them, since they can do their damage while you block.

    Drop some magicka. You need more stamina than magicka to use Shards/Orbs.

    not even close to accurate, i have more mag then stam on my tankden, only 2 of my skills are stam based plus i got bull netch return 180 a second, with 17k stam, i always have a ton of stam to block with, mag on the other hand, i am always out of. i imagine it is the same with a magsorc tank. plus they have a ward that scales with max magic.

    The only skills I have that aren't magicka, are pierce armor and heroic slash (S&B). I use Liquid Lightning, Boundless Storm, Suppression Field, Wall of Elements, Empowered Ward, Greater Storm Artronarch, Surge, and all of those are magicka based.

    Infernal Guardian can be fun if you're using a lot of shields. It pulls random enemies to you all the time, and does great AoE damage. Just can't really control it's targeting.

    As your going more MAG route than stam, definitely Grothdarr, plus it's good AoE around you (the tank).
    I think you should look for something else for shacklebreaker though. I doubt you need so much stam and more health/mag will help with your damage and shields (and note: implosion scales off health), I think Medusa or Rattlecage could be fun and fit in with what I think your build might be going for.

    While tanks in the newest and more challenging PvE content do not try to hit the resit cap because it is not necessary, none of them have such low health as you pointed out.

    However, I do not think that is what OP plans to tackle.

    To OP. I would suggest more health. Historically speaking, a big reason to stack magicka on a sorc tank is to use shields but your shields will be rather small with such low health. With that route I suggest Infernal Guardian as has already been suggested, but you would get much more out of it if you had at least 30k health.

    One thing you can definitely do with this kind of setup is to optimize for implosion. I would probably run stormfist for it's ability to proc implosion and I'd probably swap out black rose for dead-water's guile. I would also recommend hurricane over boundless storm. The reason for all of this is to build with more synergy. With all of your damage sources you will constantly be generating ult even if you don't kill the add and will be repeatedly procing implosion on bosses. You might want a bit more health as well since implosion scales off of your max health and can quickly turn you into a walking execute. It might even be worthwhile to use the bloodthirsty trait on this setup :) .
