Make maelstrom sets not bound

Can we make the maelstrom sets not bind on pick up? All I play are tanks so maelstrom sets are a serious pain to farm due to low damage.

If the sets were amazing I could see why people would want to make them exclusive, but the sets really aren’t that great. Plus it could open up more sets for fun builds for people to use.

I’m really wanting the winterborn set and would buy it from a trader. Honestly who do you ever see run winterborn?

They should make the sets Bind on Equip. Never the weapons though.

it is very fun on a warden using their ice skills, along with using the (sadly very few) ice gear sets:
iceheart
ysgrammor
winterborn
ice furnace

about a year ago i built an ice tank out of using some of those and it works really well.
i also made an ice mage with some of those as well just for messing around in open world zones. it was quite fun to play!

The weapon I totally understand. And equip for the sets would have made more sense.. I just want the winterborn set 😪

We 100% need more ice sets. Ice has been blalantly ignored for too long. It’s also mind bonggling to me that they would make winterborn, one of the very few sets such a pain to get.

You can set up a tank character pretty easily to put out enough damage for normal maelstrom, if you just want to farm the sets. Bahraha’s curse, Thunderbug, Valkyn Skoria are a few options for effortless damage. You don’t even need to respec your character.

I have a fully functional warden tank that can pull around 10k single target with Bahrahas and Valkyn, plus some of the warden AOE skills.

I would love to have 1h/s of the Hunt Leader set for my sorc tank, but I am not so much of a masochist that I would actually farm it. It only drops from the last boss, and the farm is literally 8x harder than the vMA weapon farm, because there is a 3/4 chance that the chest will not even drop the correct set, and you need to have two 1h's and two shields!

Am I ever going to have this setup without BoE vMA sets? Nope, never. Please let me buy them from other lucky gits who don't want them but have them and want to sell them!

Considering that Dragonstar Arena sets are tradeable - Healer, Footman, etc., I see no reason why Maelstrom sets can’t also be tradeable. I can’t think of any other sets in the entire game that are instantly bound.

I know how you feel. I've been running through normal maelstrom looking for winterborn gloves or shoes, and literally everything else has dropped except winterborn. I even got a winterborn bow, and two armor pieces that i either already had, or couldn't use (head/shoulder).

I run Winterborn on my PvP Off-Tank for crowd control.

Be ready to farm during the next Orsinium Anniversary event, @Unit117. It’s double drops ... so all you need to prepare for is your own willpower to do as many normal Maelstrom runs as you can.

Honestly trying to farm it makes me hate the game. It’s the absolute worst experience ever in eso to me. To get everything but winterborn. I’d rather not play for a month and get the set after then continue farming for winterborn

I’m so sad I missed it. I also wanted pariahs pinnacle so I’m hoping they bring it back soon ;-;
